I just tuned into MLB network and they have a homely looking woman with her hair dyed pink, parted down the middle of her head with about an inch of solid black hair at the roots. I can’t believe the network would let her come to the studio looking like that. It was so distracting that I just cut the TV off. Are you sure it was a woman? define woman. |

So JV has now missed 3 starts. It looks likely that he'll miss at least one probably two more (maybe three) depending on how is rehab start(s) goes.

I'm most impressed with Tucker having a 1000+ OPS in April. Usually he struggles early in the season. He could have some MVP totals if the rest of the year goes business as usual

Anything is possible. I like the guy but a .270 average and a 108 wRC+ at AAA at age 26 isn't very encouraging IMO. You’ve also been a proponent of Jake Meyers, who has amounted to relatively nothing in the majors. If anything that should make you more suspicious of Julks. Meyers' AAA wRC+ is like 30 points better than Julks, and he plays CF. |

Rays have tied the record of 13-0 to start a season. They've averaged 7.8(!) runs per game so far, and are thus on pace to score 1,259 runs this season ROTFL.

As with all stats, wRC+ is useful in comparing two minor leaguers to predict (if promoted) who'd be better in the majors. It isn't surefire, but it isn't without its worth either

Man, I love the pitch clock, but that's silly. Like the cop that hides in the bushes to cite someone when their wheels don't "come to a complete cessation of rotation" at a stop sign in a small neighborhood at 1 PM on a Sunday afternoon when there's not a soul in sight.

Man, I love the pitch clock, but that's silly. Like the cop that hides in the bushes to cite someone when their wheels don't "come to a complete cessation of rotation" at a stop sign in a small neighborhood at 1 PM on a Sunday afternoon when there's not a soul in sight. Where was umpire discretion all the years before the pitch clock when they would let Machado step out and adjust his nads for 5 minutes? |
