Really great contact skills, only struck out 11% of the time last year and has double digit power too. |

Is it time to vote Whitley off the island? I say yes. I think he has proven he is not a starter candidate. Put him in the pen, we have spent the money for the year so put him out there and see if he can work an inning or two consistently without blowing up. My guess is that he can. |

Looking forward to 2024. If the Astros don’t re-sign any of their free agents or pick up the $8.5 million club option on Neris, the team's payroll for luxury tax purposes will be just shy of $160 million. That’s $73 million below the first luxury tax threshold. Can we extend Altuve, Bregman, Tucker and Framber and not pay a luxury tax?
