I'm tired of seeing a post about Bad Luck for Keuchel you bring on yourself all the bad luck. Pitch better and those things don't happen. On the other hand, the team not scoring for Verlander is another story. That's not how it works. Soft contact finding holes is bad luck. It just is. Personally, I really don't believe in Bad Luck or Good Luck- If that was the case then I have bad luck every day since I didn't win a million dollars in Lottery.

Try to stop the bleeding Keuchel. Give the offense has a chance.

The difference of a year, the back end of the lineup was putting runs on the board.

I know we have an injury problem right now, but how is Jake penciled in the line up so easily? The the bench players a catcher and two guys from Fresno, maybe AJ keeps hitting Jakes name on the dart board. All three from Fresno

The difference of a year, the back end of the lineup was putting runs on the board. I never underestimated the impact of Beltran. He didn't always get a hit but he knew how to extend an inning.
I want Marwin in the lower third of the order along with McCann when he gets back and Gattis.
Springer Bregman Altuve Correa Yuli
Reddick (when he gets back)
Gattis
Marwin McCann
That lineup would put fear in the opposing pitcher every game and create much stress trying to work around batters

So far, the difference in this game is only about 5 feet total (two almost HRs)

On the network today, they were comparing the production the Yankees are getting from their back end is what Houston got last season.

No reason for Altuve to not be stealing that AB. I don't understand that.

When was the last time this team won a WS? It's starting to become obvious to me last season was all Beltrán. Whenever someone had a poor AB or outing, they'd go to Beltrán and say, what am I doing wrong? And he'd tell them. Including the pitchers and coaches. I've read sportswriter articles about it. Beltrán owned that trophy like a champ Now we've gone back to being the 2016 team. Not communicating in the dugout and looking up at the Mariners in the standings

But he would have been a great asset.

I was rooting for Melky Cabrera but even Holliday may have been a good choice. We just have too many young guys in our lineup that need time at the majors though. Hopefully Davis, Fisher, Stassi and Kemp can hold the fort this year but I can't see them being dependable down the stretch. At least we are playing with House money this year as we already won the ring. We will still be contenders in the playoffs and win this division.

Astros will have 24 losses after tonight and Keuchel will have a third of them with 8.

If he does want to manage in 2019
It shouldn't be overlooked that championship-itis probly plays a small part too, even though it hasn't been mentioned yet. It always does with everyone to some degree. Except Michael Jordan

Where is doug when you need him.

I guess the Astros are going to use up all their bad luck in the first half of the season. Sure seems like nothing is going their way. I have a different idea but going with the flow has to be Bad Luck.
