I guess the Astros are going to use up all their bad luck in the first half of the season. Sure seems like nothing is going their way. I have a different idea but going with the flow has to be Bad Luck. Did you really think it was going to be a cake walk to repeat. The Stros don't have the luxury this season of a losing division.

They haven't shown the ability to come back on any run differential when they are losing especially after the 7th inning. All this will come back to bite them

We stopped stealing and it shows in the GIDPs. Nothing to lose down by 6. Be aggressive and try to get something going.

In reality only four of the players are hitting with any kind of average. the others are hitting under .240

What did we expect they Keep putting players out there hitting under .220 and worse? Look at the DH, the one position you're supposed to be a hitter only. It laughing stock

Take Jake he is a guarantee OUT 8.5 times out of 10 at bats. Gattis showed some movement but still is an out 8 out of ten times at the plate.

Dude, are y'all even watching this game? Not even the HR was hit hard. The hit probabilitywas nothing. This is just horrible luck for Keuchel. The single by Segura was the hardest hit ball of the inning. Three routine groundballs and a flyball that flew 320 feet... That’s enough excuses. Our offense is more than capable of having the same luck, but they often struggle when they need to come through when games are close.

But yeah, perhaps we all were spoiled by the Astros last season. This season has been like a sputtering airplane that gets about five feet off the runway and gets you excited until you feel the tires hit the ground again.

Altuve's living in luxury. I have to admit though it doesn't bother me all that much his performance. He got us to the top of the mountain earning dirt comparatively, and I felt bad about that as a fan. I can't help grinning about it to be honest

I can't help grinning about it to be honest,Altuve is not as good as the last two years, but it’s still an all star caliber season. He’s earned his money and is still doing well for the team. He’s not the problem.

I went off on a smooth tangent. Let’s call that a segue. I agree there is no excuse for the offense. Again. The offense already had two strikes against it going into this game: 1. James Paxton is a LHP. 2. He is really really good. The second Seager’s pop fly landed in the Crawford Boxes, the L was all but official. You can’t go against another team’s ace and pitch like a combination of Mike Fiers and Doug Fister. If I were Jim Crane, I’d help Keuchel carry his bags to the airport after the season ends. He could also go and shave off that beard. He’s not hot shit like he was back in 2015.

The game was over on the Seager home run and then Zuniga but the icing on the cake. Kalas and Blum kept talking about hard hit balls......that's great if some turn into hits. Then, in predictable fashion, Hinch spent the post-game press conference trying to sound like Keuchel wasn't so bad......when you give up six runs in 2 innings, that is terrible. He is now 3-8 and has no business staying in the rotation. But, since Hinch seems to refuse to admit how bad he is, he will keep taking his turn.

I would understand leaving him in the rotation if we didn't have two great options already on the roster. Does anybody think either McHugh or Peacock would do worse?

McHugh should replace Keuchel in the rotation and take the start in Arlington

I’m just sick and tired of people talking about Keuchel and bad luck. It’s time to face facts that 2014-2015 Keuchel is a thing of the past. He’ll show flashes of brilliance even in the last World Series Game 1. More often than not, hitters just peck away at him, especially when they’ve seen him a couple of times in the same game. He doesn’t have “blow you away” stuff. He relies on getting hitters to swing at garbage out of the zone in hopes of a GIDP, which fails because they’ve caught onto his game and will make an effort to beat shifts. Umpires have also made a conscious decision to not call his out of the zone strikes. It’s just annoying to see these grueling innings pile up for Keuchel.

At least this time, the Astros didn't keep us sitting on pins and needles till the 9th inning. I could turn the game off in the 5th inning and be sure that I wouldn't miss anything I would regret missing.
