That's 11 strikeouts against the Royals so far compared with only 3 for the Stros.

No need to get fancy and turn the lineup over here.

That was a nice team win after battling against some adversity, such as:
1) Error by the third baseman which cost 2 early unearned runs
2) Hasty ABs by some players that kept the starter in the game too long and led to low-quality contact
3) Statistically rare string of 9 singles but no XBHs
4) Four GIDPs, something we haven't seen in nearly 4 years from the Astros.
I'm especially happy for Tyler White. He's broken the ice and is doing the same stuff he was doing in Fresno earlier this year.

Great win and another great job by the bullpen. Good to see White get that big double that set up the winning runs. Poor George had a horrible day with his dad here on Father's Day.
Oh........the Red Sox put up a 5 spot on the Mariners in the first.
Three more hits for Gattis and drove in the winning run....Now, let's hope we don't go home and stop hitting.

With this win, FiveThirtyEight has raised the Astros' Elo score to 1610 and odds of winning the WS to 25% (NYY is at 15% and CHC is at 12%).
The Elo score is kind of fun to watch because it purports to measure a franchise's strength across its entire history. The highest Elo score of the Astros franchise was 1612, reached in the Randy Johnson era of 1998. With a few more wins, so long as they're not squeakers, the Astros should tie that mark and we'll have one more statistical basis to say we are witnessing the very best version of the Astros to ever exist, even in comparison with the WS team.

We have scored more runs than any other team while leading in GIDP's....strange. Tyler didn't wait.....he was geard for the fastball and nailed it.

It looked like he was trying to pull the ball on every swing. He is at his best when he drives it back throgh the middle........Stanton just brought up and interesting stat today.......we hit into more DP's the we had strikeouts.

Great effort by Marwin on the throw to the plate. I lean towards thinking they botched the call at the plate, which might be why Yost was not ejected. However even the replay officials essentially admitted it was as close as could be, and too ambiguous to overturn the call made by the HPU.

They're mounting a comeback. 9-3 in the ninth with two runners in scoring position.

As long as we keep on winning, all is good no matter what other teams do.

Angels lose 6-5 to Oakland in 11. They are 9 1/2 out. and with that, the day action has concluded
the Astros are the 6th team in the last 65 years to have a 10-0 road trip (or greater)

We're also the 6th defending WS champ going back to 1939 to have an 11-game winstreak the following year

Not looking good for our side today. Nobody really seems into the game. No thought of winning 11 in a row. Isn’t it a great feeling when you’re wrong about certain things?

Am I the only one not upset about Bregman’s error? I think McCann should’ve caught it. Sure, he’s not a 1B but still.

Bregman's main mistake was not taking the sure force out at third base, then, he made matters worse by the bad throw to McCann. Maybe MCann should have caught the ball, but, I charge those two runs to Bregman.
