Get back on track. I predict a big offensive game. At least two HRs by the good guys.

I’m hoping for more HRs than GIDPs from our guys.

I’m hoping for more HRs than GIDPs from our guys. Hitting into too many DP's and not playing percentage baseball has cost us a few times, the latest being last night. Getting shutout on 2 hits by the Royals should have embarrassed the crap out of the players and Hinch, who often manages like a robot and gets burned by it.

Sometimes you have to give credit to the opposing pitcher for shutting down an offense. Tonight I will take the percentages of George or Yuli coming up with the bases juiced and less than two outs.
Looks like the Yankees ran into a buzz saw shutting down their offense last night. The vaunted TB pen shut them down for nine innings on five hits and one run. Shit happens.

Last night’s game was eerily similar to the loss against the Rays. They faced a lefty SP, had poor AB’s with RISP, and had GIDP’s even with an excessive amount of walks.

I hate to look back at those games, they are just as bad as blowing those big leads in the ninth to the Indians and late to the Yankees. Even now rain coming in, turn on the dish a choice between the Johnsonville Cornhole Championships on ESPN or a White Sox--A's game.

ESPN scrapping the barrel for sports entertainment. Also, the game against the Indians and the two blown saves against the Yankees were far worse. The one against the Red Sox where Will the Thrill gave up two bombs was bad too. Hinch needs better weapons. Right now when anyone besides Devenski or Rondón pitches, it’s like Mr. Scott telling Kirk, “We canno taik much more o’ this, Cap’n!”

I read an article on the MLB website about alternative players to go after, Doug mentioned it but it was interesting. I just went back for the link, it is off their page.

Those two blown saves against the Yankee's will come into play late in the year I think. Do the Astros want Homefield or not. There can be an argument against it so that you don't have to face the Yankee's and Redsox in the Playoffs. But Who Knows it might even be the M's they way they are playing could be the top Wildcard over Boston. I still think you want Home Field all the way through the Playoffs including the WS.

Oakland defense is failing in the bottom of the ninth. Two errors already

Unfortunately I predict a huge game for the Astros. Why? I've got a Church social that starts just before the game. I may make it back just before the game ends. If I do, I'll probably replay the stream if it's a good game.

McCann has two bombs off Kennedy. I think he will get a third tonight. Altuve will follow up his 0fer last night with 3 hits tonight.

Looking at the numbers, it could be to the Astros advantage to play most of the playoff games on the road. They hammer the ball on the road and look like a last place team. Fans who pay good money for tickets are not getting their money's worth.

Unless we strengthen the pen,we could be in big trouble against the Yankees no matter where we play.
