Overall we had a good June. Didn't end the way we would have liked but let's start off a new good month!
2 games up in the division. Let's get some offense today!

Lineup today
Bregman (SS) Altuve (2B) Gurriel (3B) Gattis (DH) White (1B) Reddick (RF) Stassi (C) Marisnick (CF) Kemp (LF)
I got my wish -- White at 1B to start the game.
Cionel Perez has been sent back to the minors in order to make room for Gurriel.

Glad to have Yuli back but playing 3rd? Watch the ball find him.

Cionel Perez has been sent back to the minors in order to make room for Gurriel. What was the point of that move to begin with? Did they just want to give Pérez a souvenir jersey?

Did they just want to give Pérez a souvenir jersey? i think they really didn't know if there would be a game opportunity for Cionel to pitch a few innings, so they brought him up just in case. Had there been a blowout either way, we probably would have seen him. Poor guy's not pitched since June 22nd.

At least Marwin and George are two automatic outs out of the lineup

I’ll be shocked if the Astros score 3 runs or more today. Morton better pitch shutout innings.

Good grief, White alone will hit a 3-run homer. Astros win, 7-1.

Gurriel should have at least run down to 1B. On the off chance they mishandled the ball, Bregman might have scored.
The last couple seasons, Gattis has shown a pattern of two months on, four months off. If he is going into a protracted slump, the team needs someone who can step into his shoes. Internal options would be Davis and White. External -- Abreu, Castellanos, Lowrie...

If Gattis would just make more of an effort to make more useful contact (game-tying RBI in the 9th off the Royals), he’d be more tolerable. Going down on three pitches like he just did is helpful to no one.

If McCann had been catching today, what are the chances of that DP occurring?
the Astros are kings of the GIDP, but then there's the LIDP and the strike em out, throw em out too...
