Astros are preparing to put up a 7-spot on Snell. Currently just lulling him into a false sense of security. Very strategic by Hinch.

Tyler had two pitches to drive and looked at both Common theme when they slump. They stare at hittable pitches and swing at garbage in the dirt. Gurriel stared at an RBI earlier.

Now is Snell a Starter or an Opener?

The Rays have about 3 good bullpen innings in their tank. so if Snell could somehow get chased before the end of the 5th, that would be great, but it isn't looking good now.

If Marisnick is going to bunt, then commit to it. Relying on homers has gotten the team losses the past two days.

Problem is some of the Hitters have been in extended slumps and that is affecting the team. They have had quite a few slumps for the whole team. Several players have not produced enough to stay up with the club.

Maybe these guys should choke up on the bat like Bregman and dunk some singles to the outfield.

If they go into the Playoffs with this type lineup or even adding George and Correa they are going to be sent home rather quickly.

If they go into the Playoffs with this type lineup or even adding George and Correa they are going to be sent home rather quickly. They just need more line drives. This upward cut and launch angle trend in baseball can be had, but it’ll always be hard to stop liners.

This has been their MO most of the year. Very seldom do the Astros come out and put big or medium numbers up in the beginning of the game.

When Morton has his pitch command, he’s neck-in-neck with Verlander for best SP on the team.

And Gattis K’s on a fastball a foot high of the zone.

The whole lineup except Bregman is clueless. All the Rays have to do to win this game is figure out a way to score a run against Morton because the idiots in our lineup don't even make Snell come close to throwing strikes. Gattis looked like a fool in both trips.....Yuli swings at balls in the dirt......Jose lunges at pitcches for easy outs. White and Stassi go after pitches out of the zone.
Just give the game and fly to Arlington.....they lose in this park as soon as they show up.

What? No bat flip, Gumpez? You got it out of the infield, after all.

Gurriel should have at least run down to 1B. On the off chance they mishandled the ball, Bregman might have scored. The last couple seasons, Gattis has shown a pattern of two months on, four months off. If he is going into a protracted slump, the team needs someone who can step into his shoes. Internal options would be Davis and White. External -- Abreu, Castellanos, Lowrie... Gattis is streaky as the day is long and he's always been that way
