Doug, I keep hoping you're going to be right about White but he just continues to be meh... We can't count on him to be anything. Other than Altuve, Gurriel, Bregman who can the count on. The occasional hit from Stassi. And those three haven't done much to help either last few games. So they have a record winning Road Trip go home and a Blah homestand and come to Tampa and look worse than they did at home. This team is either Hot or Cold no lukewarm games to scratch out a win here except the occasional game like the first one in Tampa a 1-0 win. |

You will just watch the extra base hits and HRs rack up. White is a game or two away from his first major league HR of 2018. |

Gurriel should have at least run down to 1B. On the off chance they mishandled the ball, Bregman might have scored. The last couple seasons, Gattis has shown a pattern of two months on, four months off. If he is going into a protracted slump, the team needs someone who can step into his shoes. Internal options would be Davis and White. External -- Abreu, Castellanos, Lowrie... What what??? |
