Right the ship! Still 3 games up despite the last series. I believe in them. I just wish as much as Bregman.

Win a few games here before the all star break. Get some rest. Start the home stretch healthy.

The way we have gone this week, Fiers may beat us. The break is coming at a good time and I'm glad the Angels helped us by beating Seattle. I trust Luhnow announces some needed additions to the roster in the very near future. We can't keep depending on these same relievers, White, and Federowicz.........that is a formula for disaster.

Right the ship! Still 3 games up despite the last series. This won’t help the Mariners. From MLBTR: “Mariners fans are holding their collective breath after James Paxton exited last night’s start in the first inning with an apparent injury. Per Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times, Paxton was lifted due to some discomfort in his lower back.” They better hope it is not something serious.

Paxton is made of glass. His injury history is one of the reasons I did not think that the Mariners could hang with us for the whole year and one of the reasons that I am pretty sure that the A's will catch the Mariners before everything is said and done.

If the Mariners lose Paxton for any length of time, they have a big problem. They just put Felix Hernandez on the DL.

I don't trust any DL placement this close to the all-star break.
I'm expecting McCullers to go on the list any moment and Keuchel after today. Both have 10 days until their next start with the off days after the All Star Break.

He needs someone other than Kemp in centerfield.......use Kemp as the DH and put George in CF

How I would chamge THIS Lineup 1. Altuve 2. Kemp 3. Bregman 4. Gurriel 5. Stassi 6. Reddick 7. Springer 8. Tucker 9. Gonzales
I like Kemps ability to move a runner over with the bunt or a well placed slap hit AND speed to 1B to reduce DPs.
Altuve on Kemp moves him over and maybe reaches base Bregman drives it deep and doesn't swing at wild pitches SF, HR or BB are all likely outcomes.
Gurriel comes up and drives in runners in scoring position Stassi and Reddick keep the train moving Springer, Tucker and Gonzales get ABs until they get hot, but not at the expense of scoring.

I totally agree, but, Hinch will never drop George down in the order. Your right corch. Over the last 30 days only one position player...McCann...has a lower OBP than Springers .246, but you can bet the farm AJ will never drop him down in the order. The only players on the team with a lower OPS than Springer’s .412 over the last 30 days are AJ Reed and Rondon. If that’s not enough to convince Hinch to drop him down in the batting order, I can’t imagine anything that would be.

It goes back to WS last year. He wouldn't move Springer out and it paid off. Hinch got lucky as did the Astros. Though I don't think Springer was in such a prolonged slump like he is this year. No HR in the last 15 games and only 2 in the last 30 games. Another Fact is only 6 RBI's in the last 30 games. He has scored 17 runs in the 30 Games.
He certainly isn't playing like an elite or top player. Either something is wrong with him Physically or he is screwed in the head. Maybe he needs to take a little Juice.
I admit and I am not a fan of Springer. Too much hype for a Player who is supposed to be one the stars but Bats like an average player with a .268 for the career.

For the better part of a month from late May - early July, his OBP was less than .200. If AJ would not move him down in the order when his OBP was less than .200 for the better part of a month, he sure isn’t going to move him down now.

Morton said....”I’ve got a couple of more years left, if I keep playing.”.....sounds like he may not retire after 2018.

Interview with Charie about being named to the All Star Team includes a comment that he might have a couple of years left. Good news after talk of retirement earlier in the season.

I won't argue that he should have been moved down several weeks ago. But now he may be coming out of his funk, so it would not make sense to move him down NOW!
