A lineup we could put out there but likely won't.
It has the advantage of replacing Marwin with Kemp and leaving Tucker in the lineup leaving our top OPS leaders against lefties in the lineup. Tucker's 2 for 3 against lefties.
It has the disadvantage of putting Springer at a new position (1B) but I think he's athletic enough to do it. If he's thinking about his fielding, he might relax at the plate as well.
Personally. I would swap Kemp and Springer in the order, but I'm trying to hold on to at least a little sanity regarding expectations
First Last Pos OPS+/ERA+ 1 George Springer 1B 111 2 Alex Bregman SS 159 3 Jose Altuve 2B 148 4 Yuli Gurriel 3B 120 5 Josh Reddick RF 106 6 Evan Gattis DH 119 7 Max Stassi C 125 8 Kyle Tucker LF 32 9 Tony Kemp CF 139
P Justin Verlander P 188

You don’t have three lefties or righties in a row, and the team is maximized on offense.

I like that lineup. Might swap Gattis and Reddick in the batting order. That said....if you don’t start with George at #1 in the order, you know your batting order is never going to happen in a game.

It's crazy because JV should have been the first starter with 10 wins. Feels like he has been on 9 wins for months now.

I’d rather flip Bregman and Altuve, but Altuve batting after Bregman provides better protection.

From Rotoworld....
Astros manager A.J. Hinch said Sunday that the team still doesn't have a rehab plan for Carlos Correa (back). The hope had been that Correa would be ready to begin a rehab assignment over the All-Star break, but that's not going to happen. "He's not doing anything aggressively on the field that would warrant a plan in place to send him out [on rehab]," Hinch said. Of the possibility that Correa could return sometime during the club's July 20-25 road trip, the manager said, "I certainly can’t rule him in. I’m not going to rule him out." It's obviously not an encouraging update on the status of Correa, whose game readiness keeps getting pushed back. He's been sidelined since late June with lower back soreness.

At this point you have to assume that Correa won't make it back this season. Even if he does, it probably won't be at a level we expect.

We need answers!!!
He'll be back. No pun intended.

It may be August before Correa comes back. We have a 5 game lead now. No big rush on him coming back.

He and Corey Seager are similar players not only offensively and defensively but also in terms of injuries. They’re both prone to them. Didn’t Seager stay on the DL a while last season because of his back?
