And that’s all we need to know. Why do you need to speculate on some ominous cause of his injury? You obviously have some theory...what is it? Quit beating around the bush and tell us what is so suspicious about a guy with a back injury. Back injuries can be created by any number of things....some are more serious than others. In the beginning, it sounded as if Corea should only be out about 10 days.......then, they say he isn't ready to resume baseball activities...... now, nobody seems to know or to say exactly what the problem is or when he could be expected to get a rehab assignment. All we know is he is "getting treatment", whicn could mean most anything, and we have seen video of him taking ground balls. I haven't heard anything about him swinging a bat. Seems to be too much secrecy involved for it to be just some back stiffness. I wouldn't say I have a definite theory, but, I don't think it is just some back stiffness. What we need is to be given some sort of time table as to when he is expected back. My guess is that his hoochy mama is involved in some way. Not everything is knowable. Back injuries are notorious for being unpredictable. I'm sure they could give you a date and then get raked over the coals when it doesn't go as expected. I worry because the longer it goes, the more likely it is to be a chronic condition which would return periodically. But I don'y expect a prophet to tell us when.

I see Kemp is the DH today while Gattis sits. Tropeano hasn’t pitched since June 10th. Maybe the Astros can rough him up. Kind of like Correa did to.....er, forget it.

I guess the next time we feel bad about Springer leading off, check out Kole Calhoun.

Regarding Tucker, I like the kid and he has been making some contact (only 7 ks in 34 ABs), but I don't think he's up to stay if he continues. Unlike when we had Bregman we had a need for 3rd base. Yuli was not yet in the lineup and our other guys weren't cutting it. I want him to stay up but I think it's overreacting to keep him up thinking he will turn it around like Bregman did. He's only 0 for his last 13 so nothing needs to be done now. But if that gets up to 50 to 60 AB with still a low batting average then perhaps sending him down until September may not be a bad thing. Especially if we end up getting someone in a trade like Abreu. Good news is perhaps other teams will not be so insistent about including Tucker in a trade now as he slumps at the major league level. We may want to bring up Whitley and tell him to struggle in a few blow out games for that same thing

Enough massaging egos with Marwin. His play yesterday earned him the day off.

Funny enough, playing Marwin and keeping him happy may very well lead to Houston re-signing him to a few more years at a discount rate. He's always a great option as a utility player and could be that in the future still (especially with young guys coming up to the bigs soon). If he is disgruntled on the bench then he'd most certainly take a deal to leave.
With that said, I agree with you on Davis. I think he has upside and just needs the ABs

He was focuses last year and played hard......this year is a totally different story......makes you think he is pouting over not getting a big raise over the winter.

That was about as good of an inning as a scoreless inning can be. No Double Plays!

Defensive positioning has gotten too frigging good. It's a wonder anyone ever gets a hit.

Most of these defenses against Tucker are playing him to pull.
