Gattis is 1 for his last 30. Can’t rely on a hitter like that. Tyler White is more consistent and gets better results. Also, White replacing Gattis wouldn't cost a prospect or a lot in extra payroll. |

Springer hitting .168 over his last 30 games. When a guy goes .168 over the course of a month, it doesn't concern me too much so long as his K% is low, and he's not chasing too many pitches out of the zone, and his whiff rate is low. On the other hand if K's are high, the batter is chasing bad pitches, etc., then that is not encouraging. |

leave it up to Texas to blow a 10-2 lead. Diekman threw 31 pitches did not give up a hit but gave up 4 runs go figure. When you are bad you are bad and Texas is bad.

While not intentional, the blowout loss the other day looked to be a plea to Luhnow to get help, both for the offense and for the bullpen.
That silent plea appears to be continuing today...
