I’m starting to agree that this team needs to fortify the offense. McCann is an underrated hitter. Even when he struggles, he has a presence that can’t be filled by Stassi. Correa has struggled, but he is sorely missed.

They are being out hit again. Too many Hot or cold guys, I still will say Luhnow stayed with the same team as last year and most of the secondary players never reach the same level as the last year. That is why some of the teams that won more than one WS in a very short period of time always changed several of the secondary.

Well, if we're looking for good news, it could be that beyond Wade Davis, the Rockies really only have one good reliever (Oberg). The rest of their bullpen is ugly. So ugly that they just promoted Yency Almonte from AAA in spite of having an ERA near 7.

On the flip side of it, Rockies hitting has been pretty bad today. They got to Cole when his arm was worn out but have been pretty flat otherwise.

Next question becomes, who do you put out there to pitch the 10th? McHugh was (unwisely) pulled after a single pitch. Smith is no longer eligible. Rondon has thrown his fair share of pitches already. Devo has been a gas can. Harris is not pitching well.
Do you roll the dice with Rondon? Take a chance with Sipp's hot hand?
I would let Rondon start the inning with Sipp in the bullpen. If Rondon allows a baserunner, let the Rockies see that Sippin' ain't easy.
