we have a tougher road to the playoffs than the As and right now they are playing better ball than we are. our lead will continue to shrink until we get Correa back and some of our guy come around. I fully expect both things to happen as well as the A s to cool off. One bit of good news is that we finish our schedule with them August 29th, which I find kind of quirkish with a divisional foe. |

I'd much prefer our chances on 6 outcomes rather than 3. |

I criticize his mental mistakes. I have never questioned his hustle and do-what-it-takes-to-win attitude. He hates it when he is not in the lineup. Fair enough. The other things to criticize are his low steal attempts and reduced XBH. His power numbers are way down and it leads us to wonder if he has been dealing with a nagging injury for awhile. |

Say they're 3 games out, 3 to play at season's end. I'd much prefer our chances on 6 outcomes rather than 3. Kind of like what happened in 1980 I think. We were ahead of the Dodgers by 3 with 3 left to play and then they won all 3 and we had to play a playoff game, but we won. |
