White is averaging a HR every 14 AB. Yuli (also a 1B) is averaging a HR every 59 AB.Have some consistency. I have some consistency and so does Yuli. Yuli has CONSISTENTLY driven in runners who are in scoring position better than ANY player in baseball. You cannot dispute it .....it is a FACT. I've never disputed his RISP numbers. They're proven and consistent. That's the one thing he has been consistent with. How about you address how you criticized White for lack of extra base hits when he averages more than Yuli does? I can acknowledge Gurriel's one strength. Why can't you acknowledge all of the other strong stats that White and others are proving?

Time to pull in a chair and see if the Astros can win the series.

You cannot substantiate your claims about him until he gets more opportunities. Right now, he needs to get his at bats in Fresno when our regular roster returns to full strength, I do not hate White, but, he should not be on this team when Correa and Altuve return.

Rotoworld
Player News - Astros Date: Team: Pos: Jose Altuve - 2B - Astros
Jose Altuve (knee) is expected to begin running and hitting on Friday. That should put him on track to return to the Astros' active roster sometime next week. Altuve landed on the disabled list July 28, retroactive to July 26, with discomfort in his right knee. The defending World Series champions are also hoping to be able to activate Carlos Correa (back) from the DL late next week.

Who should be on the team instead of him? Injuries happen. A player gets hurt and your promote the most suitable minor leaguer. White is that guy given his level of performance in AAA and at the MLB level. You use numbers to say White isn't good enough, but when I post numbers that say he is, you suddenly say it's not enough numbers to prove anything. So which is it?

I'm pretty sure Mabin did not catch that and it hit the ground.

Gattis is hot again. Now if we could get somebody else hot...
At least Yuli saw 3 pitches that AB.

I do not think Maldonado will be the one getting ditched. So you think Stassi or McCann will if McCann is healthy? Stassi, the pitchers do not have as much faith in his game calling as they do McCann.

Outside of Verlander, the pitchers seem to do fine with him. He's young but I can't believe he would make the majority of starts during the year and then be kept off the postseason roster.

this guy's control seems lacking so far. He is missing inside the zone bad. We should be able to hit him unless he finds himself here pretty quick.

He's young but I can't believe he would make the majority of starts during the year and then be kept off the postseason roster. If his bat stays solid who says he will be left off the roster. Remember McCann can play first and dh as well. When he is rested McCann swings a pretty solid bat. When his legs give out from catching too much his bat goes south.
