Bortaz, you will notice that from the beginning of the thread until you deemed it necessary to call a few fellow Astros fans "mofos", not a single person attacked you. You went on the offensive, in your typical crude manner, by your own choice. This isn't the first time; it's a pattern of behavior with you. You are consistently belligerent and condescending to fellow Astros fans, which is lower than low. If you find a particular line of discussion not to your liking, you can just ignore it. It will quickly be discontinued in favor of other topics anyway. If a comment is against Proboards policies, then delete it. But none of the posts on this thread have been in violation. The forum members here are not like the prisoners in your commissary years ago. You can't just throw your weight around with them arbitrarily and with impunity. If you want to support Muslimification of America, gender blurring, anti-white racism, and efforts to erode the First Amendment, that's your business. But don't act like people who have their heads screwed on straight are an enemy that has to be silenced. Dude, shut up. Relax a little. You keep asking to be banned for some reason. If Bortaz wanted to ban you, he would have done it by now. You make a lot of good baseball posts with some good insight. I don't always agree with it, but, I respect it. You know how to disagree without sounding arrogant. You often use stats, but, are smart enough to know that stats don't tell the whole story. Now, for what it's worth, my advise is to let this other stuff drop and move on. |

Thomas, this whole discussion began when a few forum members, including myself, were discussing the issue of anti-white racism and in particular the comments of a New York Times editor named Sarah Jeong. That discussion: (a) was never directed at Bortaz; and (b) had zilch to do with Islam. Moreover, none of what was said in that discussion was in violation of Proboards policies, and hence there was no risk of having the forum banned. Despite the fact that it didn't concern him and was not relevant to Proboards policies, Bortaz did his usual thing and started cursing at forum members. And typical of Bortaz, when his belligerence was challenged, he decided to huff and puff and try to act like he's somehow a victim. The whole "If you don't shut up I'm gonna have to ban you to keep the forum alive" schtick is just a smokescreen for Bortaz's other prejudices, some of which I have apparently run afoul of. I don't know how old you are so I'm not sure if you can be expected to be able to see through Bortaz's smokescreen, but I'm quite sure Coach has the life experience to do so. |

I think the root of al lot of the hard feelings is about the use of the term MOFO.
I don't think i had even heard of the thing until former Governor Perry used it in an impromptu off mic event. Of course, I am among the last to get hip with urban slang.
Afterwards,it became a member of the unoffical Texas Meme HOF.
A little infused humor never hurts anything.

I think the root of al lot of the hard feelings is about the use of the term MOFO. I don't think i had even heard of the thing until former Governor Perry used it in an impromptu off mic event. I, too, dont want him to leave, and recognize his value as a poster here. I hope he hangs around.
I have offended him, plainly. Most of what I post is intended to be taken lightly...I do understand that my type of humor isnt popular with everyone. I made fun of Doug's verbose posts once, and I poked fun at his conspiracy theories with a tinfoil hat meme. I apologize that these posts offended him. I now know that he is not one with which I can interact in this fashion.
Now, let's be clear. This forum is not the venue to discuss race relations, Islam, or any of the other hot button issues. I WILL NOT allow those posts to continue, and jeopardize the existence of this forum.
So. Here's the deal. Everyone keep your posts baseball-related. Do not post about anything that isnt related to baseball and absolutely NO discussion of race issues or religion. Period. I will delete the instigator of any such conversations on this forum, starting today.
I hope Doug and every other member of this forum can accept this policy. It's the only way we will get to keep our Refugees camp, and isnt debatable.
Note to Sherwin: this includes joke posts about race. Quit it, son.
Now...can we get back to baseball?

The only time I ever become aggressive with anyone here is if they get a wise idea to kick me in the teeth first, and then I'll give them a good fight. If and when Bortaz ever decides to grow up and keep his nose out of conversations that don't concern him, and refrain from attacking forum members without provocation, then then I'll be glad to "move on" as you put it. Indeed, I've always been that way. It really comes down to Bortaz -- he can (a) act as a responsible moderator; (b) continue to act as an irresponsible moderator (and accept that I'll give him hell from time to time); or (c) ban me. I'm cool with all 3 options. |
