73-46 2 games up over Oakland. .613 winning percentage (on pace for 99 wins) Still the 3rd best team in baseball despite our recent struggles (barely out of being the 2nd best). Team OPS+: 112 Team ERA+: 130
Verlander is again going for Win #200, and I have a good feeling about it. I think a day off was what they needed to get their heads right.

Need a vintage JV performance to turn things around along with the offense scratching out at least 4 runs.

I hope you are right..But, we do have a history of being horrible after an off day at home. It is time for them to stop feeling sorry for themselves over injured teammates, step up, and, do their jobs.

I knew Maldonado was a weak hitter, but, not this bad.....he is terrible. Great defensive catcher but an automatic out

Looking at the lineup....Gattis slumping, Tucker hasn’t hit MLB pitching so far, Maldanado not much above the Mendoza line. There’s your 7, 8, and 9 hitters.😳

Need a vintage JV performance to turn things around along with the offense scratching out at least 4 runs. JV needs to throw a 27K, perfect game shutout, bat for himself and hit a home run. That should do it.

That should do it. Our pitchers go to the mound at home knowing they have to either pitch a shutout or allow ONE run or lose the game,

You know speaking of Realmuto, he is really good at throwing out runners. Dude is crazy quick behind the plate.

Well .. that's what saint was tryin to tell u that week you were rippin Stassi eight ways from SundayMaldonado being a weak hitter doesn't turn Stassi into the next Pudge Rodriguez. Stassi isn't exactly lighting it up and Maldonado is a much better all-around catcher.

Reading about the Astros injury update, Hinch is not sure Altuve will return on the upcoming road trip. Says Marisnick is likely out until September.
I’ll be surprised if Houston is in first when they start their next home stand. If Altuve is out for the season I won’t be surprised if they come up on the outside of the playoffs. Right knee soreness huh?

When is the last time this team did anything in the First Inning? Probably the last road trip. Correa with another walk back to the dugout.

No they started scoring late in those games. I bet it's over two months at least.
