Astros are 33 games over .500. That either ties the most games over .500 or is the high water mark of the season.

If the Astros win tomorrow and then go 11-11 they would wind up with a 98-64 record. To pass us up the Mariners would need to win tonight and then go 20-2 the rest of the way.

what in the hell is going on in Correa's head. There is a large blank area between his ears..As I have said more than once, he is either too stubborn to make an adjustment ala Carlos Gomez OR he is just plain stupid......I think it's a combination. In any case, Hinch continuing to cover for his awful hitting by keeping him in the cleanup spot.

Get that gas can out of there. Devo should be with the Hooks He has lost it......he began losing it last year. He had no business being in the game. Devenski is another example of Hinch refusing to see or admit that a guy he used to could depend on is now incapable of doing the job. He and Harris are both wastes of roster spots.

Get that gas can out of there. Devo should be with the Hooks That seems excessive. No, it's not excessive. I think it's being too complimentary. Neither Devenski nor Harris has any business being on this team.

Yuli and Springer both seem to be regaining their strokes.......Altuve and Correa went a combined 0-7. Altuve had a good at bat in the first before returning to what he has been for a week.....awful. Correa continues doing the same thing.....nothing. Watching him continue doing the same things over and over and over and continuing to make outs and leave runners on base is getting to be expected. When I see Correa at the plate, i want to throw up.

The BABIP dragon frowned on the Astros earlier in the game but then came back to bite the Twins in the ass too on Kepler's liner to Gurriel.
That ball was smoked and had an 88% hit probability... quite a way to get the DP.

Re: Devo, when I looked at his box scores from CC last month it seemed he couldn't consistently get guys out at that level, which I'd consider a prerequisite for rejoining the Astros.
Rehab stints have a maximum number of days they are allowed to take so maybe the team was simply out of time and had to rush Devo back into the bullpen.
Regardless I can't seem him pitching effectively at the major league level just yet. He might need another DL stint followed by another rehab assignment. Makes no difference to me whether it's with CC or Fresno. I'm afraid we may have to just start hoping he has a good spring training.
The fact that Framber, Cionel, James etc are pitching well makes losing Devo a lot easier.

The fact that Framber, Cionel, James etc are pitching well makes losing Devo a lot easier. He rejoined the Astros because Hinch's clipboard shows what he has done the last couple of seasons before tanking at the end of last season. He had some good games earlier this year. When he started to tank again, they announced he was injured and put him on the DL.........sent him on a rehab to CC where he was horrible. Only AJ knows why he is back in our bullpen. He showed tonight why we don't need him. James and Valdez have both been pleasant surprises and the Deetz kid w brought up today has been effective. We have no room for BP pitchers like Harris and Devenski.
