As long as Kemp isn’t in CF, I’m not concerned about Reddick being benched.

Jake has been better (5th on the team in OPS) over the last 30 days. He must have been to bring his OPS+ up to 85. |

LF at Fenway is not as a big need....I heard Kemp was the area champ at wall ball growing up....so this might actually be a defensive move. |

It would be huge to win this game today. Every win really means something this time of year but beating these guys 2 out of 3 would send a real nice message for October.

This loser is held to a far different standard than any other player. He performs markedly worse in every aspect of the game, but you still love him. All the while throwing every talented player under the bus because of a slump. Battered Wife Syndrome. As always happens, someone will be along shortly to tell me that Joke “SHOULD BE USED AS A DEFENSIVE LATE INNING SUBSTITUTION!!!!”, while the wanker is not being used as a defensive late inning substitution. He will hit an occasional tater after sucking for 10 straight games, and you’ll cum down your pant leg. |

Bregman stands close to the plate. Comfortably. I bet Bob Gibson would bust him in with a fastball and knock him off of the plate. Don’t see pitchers doing that nowadays.
I’m wondering if Altuve winds up hitting under .300 for the season the way he’s going.

I am not auguring your point. I just think he is right in the middle of a bunch of underperforming offensive players right now. So to me because he is a better defender than almost everyone on the team I have no problem with him starting.

He was too good a hitter to not start hitting again. Just need it to happen sooner than later. |

the ball that the Red Sox hit that inning was hit hard, except the broken bat third out. we were lucky to get out of that only giving up one run. Great, Great play by Springer for the second out.

real good at bat by Marisnick. Shorten up his swing and made solid contact to score White. Ball seems to be really moving today for some reason.
