this team has no killer instinct without being pushed these guys would only win 90 games. they are just coasting.

There is something about this offense that scares me going into the playoffs. They just don't show up even when they are being pushed.

they can make up ground on the DP record after they secure the West Division.

This offense is too inconsistent. Where are the guys who almost swept Boston?

This offense is too inconsistent. Where are the guys who almost swept Boston? The offense doesn’t show up sometimes. They play like they have already clinched the division and are just going through the motions.

Keuchel sucked today, but that’s when the offense should pick him up.

I'm glad to see Altuve getting walks but we need him to start getting his doubles and hard singles to set the table.

They have mailed this game in from the first inning. It seems like almost every game they are no hit until the 4 or 5 and later innings lately.

I would start Josh James over Keuchel in the playoffs. We won't need but three starters...maybe four for one game.......in a series. I'd use Verlander, Cole, and Morton as the top three. The other one would be TBD. I don't trust Keuchel and I'd rather use James out of the pen.

When George led off with an infield single, Altuve goes after the pitch that was at his ankles and hit into a DP. They said the other day that sometimes he decides to swing at the first pitch no matter where it is. Most of the time he shows very little plate discipline....He does dumb things a lot and this is one of them. Hinch using Gattis as a PH was not very bright, either. Why pinch hit a guy who is 0-14? The damn clipboard said Gattis had good numbers against Warren so he used him.......never mind that Gattis has sucked against everybody for a month.

Looks like the Lights have been turned off tonight. Very poor performance from them. What a way to show the Home Crowd Your playing for them. They have sucked major league at home this year.

The fans deserve a better effort than they have seen many times this season and tonight is one of the worst......just flat not putting out the effort

they will have lost 5 of 6 at home to Seattle. Good thing the M's tanked before they had to play the Astros.

The Astros can’t coast. They need to use this time to show teams what they’re made of and get ready for the postseason. They can’t keep having these stinkers for the fans.

I see those of us that came to the Forum tonight put as much energy in the posting as the team did in pretending to try and win this game. Fail

As usual, Hinch blew it off as no big deal. When you are trying to clinch the division and come out this flat, it IS a big deal. It was obvious that they didn't come to play. Keuchel set the tone in the first inning and it all went downhill from there. There are certain teams that manhandle certain pitchers. Seattle has Keuchel's number.

That was one of the few games all year I just decided to turn off in the 7th inning because there was just no hope of seeing anything positive from the team.
maybe Hinch consulted some feng shui guru who said the team has to clinch on such and such a day for it to be 'auspicious'. So he engineered a loss to make sure the Stros don't clinch too early.
Leaving Devo off the playoff roster should be a pretty obvious decision. However I think Hinch will feel a lot of pressure to keep Harris on there.
The Astros should be able to win at least 8 of the final 10 games if they apply themselves just a little bit.

No way should McHugh, Peacock or Rondon be on any post season roster. LOL who’s gonna be in the pen then? From what I have read it looks like the team is trying to get Lance prepared to pitch out of the bullpen when/if he returns this in time for the postseason. If McCullers is ready, here is your postseason pitching staff without McHugh, Peacock and Rondon: Verlander Cole Morton Keuchel McCullers James Valdez Smith Pressly Osuna Sipp
