"Honestly, no. I've had some good runs here. Hopefully, there's a few left for us. That means we're doing well in the playoffs. ... It's not something I want to think about right now." -- Keuchel, when asked if he thought about Wednesday being his final Astros game at Minute Maid Park Goodbye, Keuchel’s Korner.

Keuchel is too inconsistent to be trusted starting a playoff game.

Holy cow!! The A’s lead the Angels 21-2 in the 8th. And just like that, back to a 3.5-game lead. The A’s are the last team I would want to face in the playoffs right now. Seems like they are never out of a game.

That ridiculous A's-Angels score is how the Astros should be winning their remaining games.

That ridiculous A's-Angels score is how the Astros should be winning their remaining games. They don’t have it in them. No doubt out pitching staff can hold opponents to 2 runs. Scoring 21 runs is a good weeks work for our offense.

Jays complete a super comeback against the Rays. Astros’ magic number for a postseason berth down to 1.

Just looking at BABIP over the last two weeks to see which Astros hitters have been legitimately bad and which hitters have simply been victims of the Bad Luck Dragon, Bregman and Reddick stand out as guys who should see significantly better results in the coming week.
Bregman has a .175 AVG over the last 14 days but with more average BABIP luck, he would have been around .300. Reddick probably would have been around .280. We should probably not worry about either hitter for the remainder of the season.
Springer is due to cool off a little. Kemp is already starting to cool off, but that was predictable.
McCann and White should also seen an uptick in their hitting numbers over the next week. They've both been hitting "like" they were .270 hitters over the past week but just couldn't achieve the right launch angles or get to weak spots in the defense.
I predict 3 Astros blowouts between now and the end of the regular season. Astros can and ought to put up 15 runs plus against some of these remaining teams...

ok now I get it this is the game where we make up ground on the double play record. What the hell we got a 5 game lead what difference does one game make when you are talking about setting a new season record. It would be interesting to know how many times we have grounded into DP's on the first pitch of an at bat.....I'd put my money on Altuve leading the league in that department,

Checked... We as a team lead the league with 151 GIDP's versus our closest competitior (Oakland) with 124. Gurriel actually leads MLB with 22 GDP this year. Altuve is second on our team and 13th in MLB with 16. link
