2 ejections last night for called strikes? Ump must have been having problems with his menses. Also still waiting for that magical Fresno debut of everyone's favorite psycho closer. Yeah, what’s the deal with Giles? Is he in timeout? AAA manager may not trust him.

Yeah, what’s the deal with Giles? Is he in timeout? AAA manager may not trust him. In governmental agencies they just pass the unwanted slugs from one agency to the other. Perhaps Fresno is trying to pawn him off on CC. Dude needs to get his attitude right or he may never the light of day again.

Wrenn was rated in the Astros Top 30 Prospects last season for a while. He has been coming on lately. Batting .300 in July. I wouldn’t be surprised is he is included in a trade later on.

From game played July 17:
AAA - Fresno 8 Sacramento (Giants) 3 Jake Marisnick CF: 3-5, 1 2B, 1 HR(3), BA .346 Derek Fisher RF: 2-5, BA .257....stole a base(5) Taylor Jones DH: 2-5, BA .206 AJ Reed 1B: 0-4, BA .262 JD Davis 3B: 2-3, 1 2B, BA .340 Yordan Alvarez LF: 1-4, BA .160 Jack Mayfield 2B: 2-4, 1 2B, BA .267 Garrett Stubbs C: 1-4, BA .325 Josh James RHP: 6 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 12 K, ERA 3.51....rated Astros #30 prospect by mlb.com. He has struck out 128 batters in 80.1 IP this year between AA and AAA. He’s also walked 36 in those 80.1 innings. If he can overcome his control issues, I wonder if the team might consider trying to make a closer out of him. Ken Giles RHP: 1 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K, ERA 0.00....can’t pitch a clean inning at AAA either, apparently. Dean Deetz RHP: 1 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, ERA 0.00 Buddy Boshers LHP: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 aeR, 0 BB, 2 K, ERA 2.25

I have a feeling we will all see Ken Giles sooner than anyone would like to. Unless, his antics/attitude has literally worn out his welcome in Houston.

Me too. Let's trade him to the Dodgers so we can hit late inning home-runs off of him in this years World Series.

I have a suspicion that Luhnow will; in fact, trade Giles as soon as he gets a offer of anything of value from another team. Little doubt that Giles’ “FU man,” was directed to AJ. Can’t see Luhnow putting up with that.

Maybe Philly will take him back, they are looking for relief help. That was my question when the trade was made, he was racking up the saves for a last place team, with no pressure on him. Sad to see Giles have meltdowns, with the stuff he has, but the location of his pitches even with a 99 mph FB is not cutting it. Not in the clubhouse we just don't know where this is going to end. www.baseball-reference.com/players/g/gileske01.shtml

If I understood what the broadcaster was saying in that video, Giles had been disrespectful to his coach on the mound on three different occasions that preceded the confrontation between Sandburg and Giles that you see in the video. Yes. No doubt he said “Fk You” and he did say it to Hinch. Obviously it wasn’t the first time he had been disrespectful to a coach/manager on the mound.., in full view of the other players, the fans and those watching the game on TV. He has established a pattern of disrespectful behavior. If he can’t restrain himself and be respectful to Hinch, a true “players’s manager,” he’s gotta go.
