“Thank you as always for posting all the minor league games and giving us insight on different players....And C'mon on Riley!!! You Got Owned in this Game!!!“
I don’t think it will happen, but I would like to see Nick Tanielu and Yordan Alvarez called up when the PCL playoffs are finished. They have both been red hot over the last month. - Olpapa

Looks like Tucker is taking his demotion seriously. I hope so! We might need him in the future if we are not able to sign Springer, Correa and Bregman all to long term deals. As of right now of the three I hope Bregman is locked up long term.

If Correa does not figure it out pretty soon we may not need to worry about him. Springer, Alvarez, and Tucker would make one hell of a dominate outfield.

I know it isn’t likely, but I would like to see Alvarez and Tanielu called up, along with Tucker, once Fresno is done with the playoffs. The AAA Championship game between the champs of the International League and Pacific Coast League is on the 18th, so even if Fresno wins the PCL championship, we could get a look at those guys for a couple weeks before the playoffs start. I really think Correa needs to sit and observe for a few games. If he is hurting physically, he needs some time to mend. If his issues are mental, he needs some time to step away and get his head straight. I know it is never going to happen, but I would like to see Tanielu at 3B and Bregman at SS for a few games to see what Tanielu can do vs ML pitching. It’s not like we would be losing anything on offense if he stinks. Won’t take much to match what Correa is doing with the bat right now. Would also like to see Tucker and Alvarez get a little playing time the last couple weeks and let Springer get some rest and let Reddick sit. I have about lost hope for Reddick doing anything with the bat.

Pretty amazing how quickly the worm turns on the question of whom to lock up. Just 6 months ago, no one would have pushed for Bregman over Correa.

I have seen posts speculating that Correa will bolt for the Yankees and the big time in NY when he becomes a free agent. I have seen similar posts speculating that Springer will sign with Boston to be closer to family when he becomes a free agent. I haven’t seen any reports in any of the sports media saying that either guy or their agent has said anything to indicate that they would not re-sign with Houston. I haven’t seen any speculation at all about what Bregman might do.

Since the day we signed Correa I have thought that once he got to 6+ years of service time he was gone. When he married Ms Texas I thought that we may have a chance and now I am not so sure that we should want the chance. He has been injured every year. Kind of reminds me of Lowrie. Maybe it will take him to 30 before he can become a consistent producer that you can count on for 150 games a year. So what are your thoughts on Correa's poor performance. Is it back or head.

I think it's a combo...the back may be getting into his head. As I've said...a sore back doesn't make you take strikes down the center of the plate over and over without moving the bat. But I wonder if he's in pain, and it's making him hesitant to swing. It may be why he's not getting many XBH

I mentioned earlier that Nick Tanielu missed the 2017 season due to injury. Here are his batting average numbers by the month for 2018 at AAA:
May - .152 June - .262 July - .286 August - .366 Sept - (Regular season plus playoffs) .516
Seems like he is getting well.

Big game tonight for Fresno. The pitcher who is scheduled to start for Memphis has not allowed a run in his last 18.2 IP, The pitcher who is scheduled to start for Memphi tomorrow has given up 21 earned runs in his last 31 IP. Armenteros is going for Fresno tonight. He really needs to have a good game. If the Grizzlies can win tonight, I like their chances to close out the series tomorrow and win the PCL championship.

Armenteros has had a down year but could make people take notice if he wins a pitching duel in the playoffs.

I have mixed emotions about Fresno’s playoff success. On the one hand I would like to see our guys win the PCL and AAA championships like they did a few years ago. On the other hand I would like to see Tucker in Houston ASAP and I know he won’t be in Houston until Fresno's season is over.
