Another above-average season with 200+ IP and one of the best ground ball rates in the game for Keuchel.
Possibly his last start as an Astro in the regular season he should go out a winner.

I thought Altuve had two hits. The second one was ruled an error? Seemed hit too hard for that.

I never said I supported trotting Harris out there... just tried to explain why AJ would keep doing so. wait till you see Harris's xwOBA-against. AJ will have Harris in the pen in 2020 still.

Well, I certainly hope that Hinch finds other pitchers on the staff to take into the Postseason.

Gattis has turned in No Show Gattis again. He still hasn't shown a reason to carry him into the Playoffs.

Talking about a Black Hole in the Offense. McCann-Gattis-Reddick-who ever Hinch picks other than Kemp

if it comes down to Gattis vs White for DH in the postseason, Hinch has to go with White. Yesterday White finally stopped swinging for the fences every time up to the plate, and got a two-hit game out of it. That's an approach that would work well in the postseason.

is it wise to put Osuna out there for the 9th, given all the court drama and it being his old team and all? I'd rather remove those factors from the game and let someone else close out the game.

This would be an excellent spot for McCullers to return to big league pitching and show he's good to go.

I don't think anyone wants Rondón if that's what you're suggesting

Jays have the 8, 9 and 1 hitters in the 9th.

I don't think anyone wants Rondón if that's what you're suggesting Rondon would probably hand them the lead before he hits 20 pitches. I'd go with Lance or Josh James.

You don’t have to explain. AJ made the decision two days ago to bring in Harris to pitch in this game at precisely the time his presence was most beneficial to the Astros. When it comes to managing a pitching staff the man is on another level.

The worst that could happen to Lance is he goes out there and blows a save. Which would at least carry the value of telling Hinch that Lance isn't ready to return yet, and probably not till spring 2019. Losing one regular season game is a high price to pay for that knowledge, but it could help make for a stronger postseason.
James would probably blow them away with 101 to 102 mph heat if he knows he only has to pitch one inning.

This would be an excellent spot for McCullers to return to big league pitching and show he's good to go. McCullers isn't going to be doing short-inning relief in the postseason so I doubt he'd be in that role while there's still a magic number
