McCullers has been reinstated from the DL and Guduan recalled.

I can't understand why they keep calling Guduan up. He's never been good at the MLB level. I guess being a lefty is all it takes.

Chinito Pina was player of the week. he deserved it. I am trying to understand why Davis is getting a start over White when we are on the verge of clinching the division. Give him starts after we have it locked down.........not before. Guduan is dead weight

glad he got to leave the trap and get the hell out of Houston. He was a cancer in the clubhouse.

12-12 in so-called “save” situations and a 4.58 ERA. That is the Giles we know and loath.

Give him starts after we have it locked down.........not before. Guduan is dead weight Davis starting tonight sounds like a bad idea to me too. He and Straw and Fisher etc are welcome to start after clinching the division. Having said that Davis will probably go out and hit a couple homers today just to prove me wrong. He lined out the other day in one of his few September ABs and while the infielder caught it, he did sting the ball at 105mph or something. So maybe we wills see more good contact from him today. As for the GoodOne, maybe he is like Hinch's good luck charm.

if McCullers is truly ready to pitch again... and I'll have to see it to believe it... he should start tonight. He couldn't possibly do worse than Keuchel did on his last time out.
For Lance to really prove he's able to contribute in the postseason, I'd rather see him pitch 3 times in relief over these next seven games rather than make one measly start.
Blue Jays have typically put up only 5 or 6 hits per night against the good-pitching teams of the league. If the AStros can limit walks this series, they should have excellent chances of getting at least two wins at Rogers Center.
I have to wonder whether Osuna will be affected by returning to his old ballpark and the city where he is facing criminal charges. At a minimum, he will probably be taking time to meet with lawyers during this series so his head may not entirely be in the game.

A few more jacks like that and the lead for Keuchel should be comfortable.

Keuchel gives 2 runs back. 4-2. He is just trying to keep it in a save situation.

I will be worried when he starts any postseason game this year. He has become unreliable

Keuchel has the pitch count to go another 3 innings today. If he can do that scorelessly, I'd trust him a little more.

I don't think we need to worry about Keuchel starting a playoff game til we know for sure Morton's getting shelved for arm problems. Also based on Hinch's track record, I don't expect Keuchel to keep getting appearances if he sucks in the playoffs
