If Maldonado were catching Wakefield, I’d understand. There’s no excuse for this horrid fielding.

Coach... I was literally praising and defending Maldonado earlier this game. You need to chill out.

Can we get some late inning magic?

Somehow, I’m more mad about Maldonado than Cole. Should be a 4-3 Astros lead now. AJ should have yanked Cole in the 2nd. The Sox were teeing off, and he was broadcasting flat pitch after flat pitch. Yep...this one is on A.J.

Maldanado just put the icing on AJ’s cake. They were the best thing Boston had going for them tonight. Nice job guys. Somehow, I’m more mad about Maldonado than Cole. I've never seen a major league baseball player just consecutively in inning mess up so bad defensively

Can we get some late inning magic? No magic for poor Kemp.

It’s a shame Hinch has to burn pinch hitters on struggling DH’s.

Even if they had taken Cole out earlier, theres no guarantee runs wouldn't have scored.
You need to expect 4-5 runs from Boston most games.

You have so many pitchers at your disposal to play the good guy and hope your pitchers climbs out of the ditch.

I'm not saying I entirely disagree, but the offense needs to do more with all these free baserunners. 1-6 with RISP is not good.

We'll have to 3 out of 5 and the next 3 games are at home. Still a good position to be in.

Hopefully the HP ump for game 3 will give Keuchel the Glavine/Maddux strike zone. If he doesn’t, the game will be over before AJ goes to the pen. Gotta stroke those starters’ egos, you know. After all, this is just the ALCS. Wouldn’t want to upset a player just to avoid a loss.
