Finally Realmuto to the Phillies its final. SIXTO SLOT MONEY ALFARO AND A SOUTH AW PITCHER Finally an end to the Realmuto to the Astros talk. Unless, you think the Phillies will now flip him to the Astros. Lol. Talk about a sleeper trade, the Phillies needed to make a splash before ST, after being stuck in the Harper---Manny saga all off season.

It will be interesting to see if Hunter can bounce back in Arlington. I'm rooting for him to reach 2000 hits. Hunter was always such a good guy. Wish him the best.

They have some Phillies fans wondering now after this, they thought the sleeper would be Dallas. JT in a good hitters park at the Bank for a right handed hitter.

Verlander doesn’t owe the Astros any favors. In two months, he pitched like a boss and helped deliver a championship to this city. He doesn’t have to give back any kind of money. Agreed. I hate that owe favors talk. Make your money while you can! Pretty much that. ^ JV can and should accept a nickel less from Houston than his market value. But that's more about the opportunity to stay with a team with which he has a brief but positive history. No doubt he has developed relationships with his teammates and the team management. Luhnow obviously has been given a generous budget to work with and the team is positioned to be a real contender for several years. The chance to play with a winning team is a plus. The chance to avoid the upheaval and nuisance that accompanies pulling up stakes and moving is also a plus. Those things are worth something. How much are they worth to Verlander? Only he has the right to decide how much. Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Alot say it's a ploy for Harper since Harper was all over Realmutos Jock last year Harper doesn't care about playing with Realmuto. He just wanted the Nats to go all-in last year for the postseason.

one of the things that made 2017 a great year for the Astros was the level of young talent that we had that wanted to succeed at the major league level. Most of that talent was in the various positions playing the field. This year we have 4 guys rated in the top 100 prospects in mlb that could break into the rotation. And that does not even include Valdez or Perez who came up last year and did well for us. So the level of competition will be crazy high for these guys to come up and show what they have. If everything breaks right we actually have a chance to have a staff that rivals last year's in overall performance. Granted lots of stuff would have to go our way but as they say youth finds a way.
But there is something still missing for these guys that would help them really dominate. I thought that we would get that with Realmuto but the price was just too high. What we need is a solid defensive catcher. Our offense will dominate a lot of games and if some guys bounce back we could score a lot of runs, so we can afford a weaker hitter/great defense type of catcher to help these kids along. It also might help seal the deal with Verlander on a new deal as we all know he values a good catcher. So other than that, the time is getting close my friends, almost time to PLAY BALL!

He may be a little cocky, but we have to give him tremendous credit for staying focused and motivated to become even better after a championship. Altuve definitely gets a pass for being so injured. I would do the same for Correa, but it happens so often. I wish he’d focus more on flexibility than bulking up.

I told him I was lifting and pushing a lot of weight. He asked me why and I said that I wanted to be in great shape. He said his advise was to stay in basketball shape, not football shape and you will be much better for it. I did not take his advise, I bulked up, my golf game went to hell, beer league softball at bats never saw me hit one over the fence and yet I looked like some guy out of a magazine. Correa would be smart to follow my doctors advise and focus on fast twitch muscles and not try to bulk up. He will be a better hitter if he does.

I think there's a difference between bulking up and fattening up. Alas, I'm far more familiar with the latter.

Dairy Queen sells an Orange Julius (and a couple of other flavors), but let me tell ya, pal, they don't match up to the ones you used to get in the mall at the Orange Julius kiosks in the 70s and 80s.

I lost over five pounds this month thanks to a lovely little critter called entamoeba histolytica.
Whether it's through bulk or fat, I'm not very particular. I want those five pounds back.
