The pick after Aiken, Tyler Kolek another Texas kid hasn't faired better as far as career numbers go. <iframe width="29.860000000000127" height="4.840000000000003" style="position: absolute; width: 29.860000000000127px; height: 4.840000000000003px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_95075711" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="29.860000000000127" height="4.840000000000003" style="position: absolute; width: 29.86px; height: 4.84px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1427px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_58362916" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="29.860000000000127" height="4.840000000000003" style="position: absolute; width: 29.86px; height: 4.84px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 181px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_90918869" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="29.860000000000127" height="4.840000000000003" style="position: absolute; width: 29.86px; height: 4.84px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1427px; top: 181px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_16448394" scrolling="no"></iframe> I watched Kolek in high school. He had a brother that was good too. I remember watching a clip on the network during that draft year Ryan going to scout him and a nice piece of his life on the farm.

Is that a joke or has MLB really bowed down to the PC police? No joke. Liberals are killing this country. Bregs you should invite Ocasio-Cortez down for a visit to groom some cows and shoot off some caps.

Cliff's notes from Bregman's interview above:
Keuchel and Verlander are the Astros' wine connoisseurs and like to buy bottles “way out of Bregman's price range”
Ryan Pressly approaches pitching like he's an MMA fighter – when he's on the mound, a light goes and he's like “I'm gonna kick your ass.”
Bregs' performance 'skyrocketed' once he started sleeping ~10 hours/day vs the 7-8 hours he used to get. He credits JV for this advice.
Bregs missed playing his senior year in high school due to a broken finger.
JV encouraged Bregs to get a private chef. Her name is Lauren.
JV listens to a repetitive cycle of 3 rap songs on each game day to get “hyped up”
Bregs credits his good vision to having one nearsighted parent and one farsighted parent
A scout in New Mexico said of Bregs as a high school player: “He's the perfect baseball player. A beer-drinking, *****-chasing SOB.”
He thinks Harper and Machado are each worth $40M/year.
In Game 5 of the WS, Bregman was planning to take the first pitch he saw in the 10th inning... his reflexes told him otherwise when he saw the pitch
Defensive stats are bullshit.
Bregs won't be dying his hair again this year.

I was reading some comments that pertained to your post that were posted on the Fox News forums, but would not be appropriate for a Baseball board.

Especially considering he was born and raised in rural, Christian, conservative east Texas. The sex, drugs and rock & roll ruined him. Henley is actually a 3rd cousin of mine. Would love to watch his left wing head explode when i tell him our common ancestor was a large Georgia plantation holder woth a couple hundred of slaves. when he starts hyperventilating, just sing Get Over It .. Get Over It

I've just discovered an ancestor - Alexander Cleveland was actually a Bastard son of Oliver Cromwell making him my 11th G-Grandfather. Now with that connection, I have discovered that Constantine the Great was my 43rd G-Grandfather.
You never know who you'll find in your family tree.

Myles Straw (MLB)
Straw has steadily made his way through the system after being a 12th round pick in 2015. He hits for average, draws walks, and steals bases. He started the year in AA and hit .327 with a .414 OBP in 65 games. He was also 35-41 in stolen bases. He was promoted to AAA and played in 66 games hitting .257 with .349 OBP while stealing another 35 bags. Overall he hit .291 with 70 SB in 131 games. He saw some time in Houston too and was 3-for-9 with a homer. He possesses plus speed and is probably the fastest player in the Astros system. He also has a very strong arm and with the his speed, should be able to be plus in center field. Either way, his skillset is one that will keep him around for a while.
This guy will push Jake off the roster.
Book it.

In other news. Astros will carry a heavy lineup this year but if and I say if Kyle Tucker comes out the gate smacking the ball around in Spring Training. It could mean the end of Josh Reddick Per source Richard Justice #takeitback

Per Source Brian Mctaggert Astros are in love with Tony Kemp and Myles Straw. You could see Jake Marisnick being shopped during spring training if Injurys happen across the league.
Also Astros still looking for a Pitcher of some sort and a Bat if it falls in there lap. #Heyman #Rosenthal #theAthletic

Straw will fit that bill in case he can't solve MLB pitching.

Mike Fiers is mlb.com's projected Opening Day starter for the A's in Tokyo.
If Fiers were still a member of the Astros, I would have to think he'd be battling Miley for the #5 slot in the rotation.

If he develops the power, they’ll likely be set on offense. Tucker is the real wild card. I’m glad he’s not headed to Miami.
