apparently Gomez played in the NYM system as a young player, so he's hoping to have some kind of a 'homecoming'. The funny thing is that many of their fans seem oblivious to how bad Gomez was on his other teams, including the Astros. My guess is they stash him in AAA and use him as an injury replacement at some point. But I'd be surprised if he got more than 150 big league PAs this year. Wasn't it the Mets who were close to trading for him the year we got him...but backed out at the last minute, allowing Luhnow to make his biggest mistake, ever? |

Mets hitter McNeil looks like he is bleeding from his left hand but I don't know how/why. He wasn't HBP.

Apparently, Hinch has no confidence in Kemp at 2B. While Altuve was out he consistently played Yuli there instead of Kemp. Kemp not a good defender no matter where you put him. Jake and Straw are both better than Kemp. Im not arguring that at all. I just think they really like Kemp. They could be shopping him who knows? But in the end they gotta make a decision on some cats. You want tucker down or up? You talked big game all offseason about how untouchable he is. You need to play him or trade him. And we all know he qont get traded. Straw needs to be batting a way way lot more then he is to see how his bat does against quality SP. Ideally, Kemp is traded and Straw is sent down to get at bats. I expect Tucker to start the season at Fresno. I also hope they get rid of Reed and stop wasting time with him. |

And after seeing Fishers lack luster DEF in the game today i think he should be way gone he coulda got that Yeah, his range and arm lead me to believe he is bench fodder. |

Kemp needs to be traded if there’s no space for him on the 40-man roster. His talents would be better suited elsewhere.

So, basically Fisher is Marisnick minus the defense. It’s probably time to move on. |

From my Point of View, all I see is stuff about the Mets and Yankee's The company moved the last couple of months and work has been quite busy. My Wife has had Pneumonia and a Virus Cough going on 7 Weeks Now. This has taken a lot of my time. Very Worried about Her. I had to come to Texas over Thanksgiving to Bury My Mother Who Died of Pneumonia complications. |

OK, fellers...I need you guys to sound off on the subject of advertisements on the forum. I still have some of the money on the books from you guys to pay for ad-free time. I'd shut it off during the dead offseason because it was a waste of money with us only using 2000 views a month (or less). Minimum plan is 50000/mo. We're busier now, but nowhere near the minimum 50000 page views covered by the ad-free purchase. So, if the ads are not problematic right now, I'll leave it turned off until the season gets into full swing and we start using up bandwidth again. If the ads are bothering you, let me know...if it's a real problem I can start paying for the monthly ad-free service again. I need this input, so you guys hollar and let me know what you think. What I think isn't as important as what your regulars think. That said, I think Ad-free really isn't that important. The ads ProBoards displays are generally benign. They're pretty good about keeping redirects, audio, and popup ads out of their rotation. Also, if you're interested, I can give you a short snippet of code to place in your Global Header. It puts the top banner ad at the very top, instead of between the navigation tree and the forum content. Personally I think that looks better but YMMV. (Doing this is ProBoards-approved.) |

I have had a combo of flu and pneumonia for the last 24 days...finally getting better, with the exception of the respiratory system, after two series of antibiotics and a steroid series. Doc is calling my current condition “post-flu syndrome” and bronchitis. |

Doc is calling my current condition “post-flu syndrome” and bronchitis. With how wet and Cold it's been here hasn't helped either. Dry for a day or two and them several days of overcast and Rain. Very little snow until this month. Ther are saying it was a Virus that started a Bronchitis Cough that turned into pneumonia and now the Regular doctor said they can't do anymore and sent her to a Plumaury Doctor. He is telling her this cough that is Really Bad after being up a few hours could last another couple months. The only good thing is her Boss didn't want her in the office except for Payroll day. Good luck to you getting better yourself. |

Currently, I agree...these ads are benign I agree that the ads are nowhere near as intrusive as they were last year. Maybe they are waiting for the Season to start for that to happen again. Knowing most are really using until the season start. If that happens plenty of us in here are willing to make sure they don't. |

Thanks to all that sent well wishes! My mother Was 94 and had lived a Mostly Healthy Life until the last Month or so. All the Family got to come down and Say Goodbye and she said She was ready to Go Home.

Thanks to all that sent well wishes! My mother Was 94 and had lived a Mostly Healthy Life until the last Month or so. All the Family got to come down and Say Goodbye and she said She was ready to Go Home. My condolences! We buried my grandmother last weekend. She passed peacefully with my father and aunt by her side. She was 85, a wonderful woman and lived a great life. |
