It was a funny show. Better than any of the sitcoms out in the 21st century.

I saw a picture today of the team from last year when they visited the White House. Everyone was dressed in nice suits...except for Bregman, who was wearing a fecking checkered suit that looked like something Herb Tarlek would wear. He’s an idiot. WKRP was an interesting show in that none of the cast did much after it was cancelled, save Loni Anderson and Howard Hessman in some peripheral roles. Tim Reid did become a director and producer in his own right though
Tim Reid was the dad on Sister, Sister.

Luhnow offered Keuchel a deal according to the news reports. If he doesn't take it, there's not much we can do i hope it was for not more than two years and below our QO fhat Keuchel declined. I think it's funny that he is still unemployed/

After Verlander and Cole, our starting rotation looks pretty shaky........McHugh, Miley, and ??. The more of these spring training games I see, the more I'm convinced we are a starter short. Luhnow didn't get the job done. McPoo isn't the hero we need. Miley hasn't done terribly, but he's no Verlander. Peacock has done well. Peacock has looked pretty good. McHugh is the big question mark. Having James out if probably going to hurt. I can see Luhnow pushing harder to sign Keuchel. I had hoped it would not come to that.

Who are the geniuses who keep suggesting that the MLB constantly needs rule changes?

Who are the geniuses who keep suggesting that the MLB constantly needs rule changes? All of these damn rule changes are hurting the game. I don't like limiting the number of times a catcher can go to the mound. All of these "speed up" rules need to be flushed.

6 runs for McHugh today in 2+ against the lowly Fish. I know it's ST, but this better not be an example of things to come.

In fact if Selig would have made that last late fall visit to Houston before his retirement, I had planned to pelt him with rotten fruit. Being financially set, retired, no previous crimes, and pissed off as hell........., I researched and found that I could have easily absorbed that Class II misdeamor. It would have been the best $1500 dollars I would have ever spent.

I am sure you are aware of his stunts. And some of those are criminal in nature, and if they somehow could have been brought to the courts, this mf'ers legacy would have been prison worthy. Therefore.... Selig Vs. Manfred? Big Damn difference , and thus my planned repspone to give him a lasting memory of how Astros fans felt about him..

I didn’t like the “roof open” fiasco or the league switching episodes against the Astros, but those didn’t affect the whole sport. Manfred wants to change things that have existed for over 100 years just to cater to the ADD crowd and to build some sort of legacy. To me that is far worse.

Luhnow didn't get the job done. At his point, I'd pencil in Peacock into the 4th spot and go with a bullpen for the fifth.

He is just an example, but, I would pay him $35 million before I'd pay Keuchel $20 million. There were other options........we have no idea who he tried to get or didn't try to get. My point is we could have had a better rotation than what we start the season with.

Jeff Luhnow on Astroline: "At this point, we're so close to opening day, we're going to start with the guys we have in camp here and go from there." He has been happy with what we have for quite some time.....if winning a division is all he wants, we are all set. If he wants to win it all, he has work to do.

It was reported that we made addtional offers in the past week. Half is brain must be in his beard, because he is not folding from a LT deal. And I don't blame Luhnow. 4 or 5 years ago Kuechel may be best utilized selling beer in the stands.

I personally have no problem with a long term deal for Keuchel. Do you want 17M for one year or $32M for any number of years you wish to sign? 2 years would be $16M/yr. 3 years would be $10.67M/yr. 4 years would be $8M/year. 5 years would be $6.4M/yr...
I mean, take your choice, but I'd take 2 years if I were him. I'm no longer willing to go three years at $45M. $32M is my new lower cap. It lowers even more if he remains unsigned and unprepared to start the season. I'd start reducing the cap by $2M/mo beginning next week.
