I bet you 1 million dollars that the Astros are not going to trade George Springer or Carlos Correa (or Jose Altuve) this offseason. How about Jake? Mets need a CFer. Jake for Thor straight up? Might as well, eh?

Let’s pay him a third of his market rate because that’s as much of a season where he matches the hype. A guy who hit .300 in the WS with a .500 OBP and above average offensive percentages every year...and still no love. Poor lumberjack. (Shrugs shoulders.) Maybe you should type up an email to Luhnow asking him why they didn’t re-sign him the day after the World Series.

So to be clear.
Tyler White, Tony Kemp, Max Stassi, Jake Marsanik and two prospects Freudis Nova and Joe Perez. Wouldnt get the ball rolling for the Mets on Noah Snydergaard?
Gives them 1B, LF, C, CF and two pretty good infielder prospects in Nova 18yr old SS who has loads of potential and showed it in his First yr of ball. And Joe Perez who could be a Relief Pitcher if his Bat doesn't turn around. But with both those guys being as young as they are it's like you have two lotto tickets.

If I typed Luhnow an email about Gattis, it would be to find out why they didn't have him to do more work at catcher where he would have real value if even just average defensively.

I'm saying Mets want fielders period they need help batting they have pitching to spare just no bats. Wonder if you could convince them of Tyler White Tony Kemp Derek Fisher and J.D. Davis could get a conversation started? I'd give them all four of those guys for Syndergaard.

Instead of finding a spot where he has value, how about putting someone of value in his spot? Well it's mostly too late now. But, in theory, sometimes it's cheaper to mold someone then to trade for/buy someone else.

Morton would solve some problems for next year. We do need to set someone in place though to solve longer term issues

Happy Thanksgiving to All! Even you Waastro, in case you just lurk on the forum. Right back at you and the rest of the crew. Going to be a great day, all the kids, grand kids, and various other folks. 30+ people this year, glad it’s not our turn to put on the banquet that was a lot of work last year but worth every minute of it.

They've "expressed interest" in nearly every player on the North American continent this month. (Except for Keuchel...lawls.)

I know it's still early, but I'm a little concerned. I’m not worried until Happ is signed by the Astros. It is disconcerting to go from hearing about Paxton, Cruz, and Goldschmidt to stuff about that guy, though.

Didn't we have Happ back during the dark days? Yes, Obama was President. Why do you have to get political? It is narrow minded thinking like this that will turn undetermined partisan voters away from the Republican Party. Thanks a lot, Pa.

Word is Astros wanna resign Morton and get Happ. Trade for Bats. Pitchers are to expensive Aim for the stars. Seriously supposedly Kluber of the Indians will cost Alex Verdugo and Dennis Santana of the Dodgers And Snydergaard of the Mets will cost Mackenzie Gore and Chris Paddack. That's pretty damn high if you ask me. But what do I know. All these talks you here about Puig for Kluber you can scratch that off. Unless its Joc Pederson and a top ten prospect Indians aren't budgeing. Indians are the hardest team to deal with when it comes to players. And from what I've heard they want Verdugo or Pederson Mets are also being hard headed but they can be since they have what everyone wants. Price is 1 of your top 3 and 1 of your top 10 Again I dont think we can match those. Hince what I've heard about the Astros Price is to high. WHITLEY ISNT GOING NO WHERE. And the Astros might go after Eovaldi to go along with Morton and Happ.

I think Cruz has a contract on the Table from the Astros. I also think we get J.T. Realmuto and Paul Goldschmidt. JS. Dont think we are interested in Grienke since latest news on him is the Diamondbacks have offers on the Table to take his entire contract and still get really good prospects from a team.
