I wonder if the official response might be ...
$$$$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$$$$$ $$$$$$ $$ $$ $$ $$$$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$$$$$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$$$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$$ $$ $$ $$$ $$$ $$ $$ $$ $$$ $$$ $$ $$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Nice art work, I have to file that one away.

Another example of one litigious ass hole who ruins it for everyone else.

Sad story today, relating to one of the babies I took care of in the nicu a few years ago.
I’m still occasionally in touch with his parents, on Facebook. We all bonded over the 4months I took care of their desperately sick baby. I’d heard recently that they were divorcing, which I was sorry to hear...they seemed to be a nice couple, well fitted for each other.
Apparently, the wife had an affair, and this as well as the hubby not being willing to work, led to the divorce. Things apparently got ugly in the divorce. The wife reported to CPS that the dad had been molesting the kid I’d cared for. Cops raided his home, and found kiddie porn on his computer.
I hope it’s not true. The boy is, I guess, 7 or 8 years old by now. I just really hope it was a false accusation made in the heat of an ugly divorce.

What a jerk, it is a sad story from the stand of your care and involvement with the child. A hubby not willing to work, kind of a citizen that is in AOC's play book.

Being a layabout leads to rensentment and cheating for the other person. As far as everything else, I hope to God it’s not true. I’ve had people in my life tell me about experiencing those sorts of things, and to say that these events have had profound effects in their lives is an understatement.

If that happens, the Astros will be in second place in their division. One half game back, just like the Indians are right now behind the Tigers. (Not that I expect the Tigers to stay at the top very long.)

Got to wonder whether the 'juiced ball' controversy will re-surface this year.
Even in the colder weather of April, the median HR/FB rate is over 15%, compared with less than 13% last season.
If the median rate is 15% in April, I can't imagine how high it will go in the July/August heat.
No way the Mariners hit 20% of their fly balls out of the park all season... I hope.
For whatever reason, the Astros are hitting noticeably fewer fly balls this year than last. Ground balls are way up and line drives are about the same.
If the ball is going to fly out of the park more easily this season, the Astros need to try to avoid the GB and get those bad boys in the air.

Also, the Astros might be trying to use the bunt more this season. They are on pace to have 40 successful Bunt Hits this year, compared with only 15 all of 2018.
Maybe this is a response to infield shifting... in general, sabermetrics-minded managers don't like the bunt, but it does make an awful lot of sense against the shift.

Speaking of which, Khris Davis has hit 4 bombs the past 2 games. I haven't seen a more effortless swing since lefty Berkman. The ball just jumps off his bat.

Tuve went through the same debate in June 2016 when he showed consistent power for the first time in his career. He said it was due to better pitch selection and squaring up with bat speed. Rediscovering better plate discipline may not be the story here, but its not like he hasn't shown he's capable of power surges like this

No, but he's never had this powerful of a start to the season. Even before this barrage against NYC, he had two barely missed warning track flyouts in TB, I believe.

I remember our last season in the National League saying Tuve's ceiling was probably a batting title. Turned out to be perennial MVP candidate

This Albies extension is ridiculous. $45 million for 9 years basically. He'll be 31 years old before he hits free agency unless they don't pick up his $7 million annual options the last couple years. For comparison, this would be like if we signed Bregman to an extension before last year for half the amount we just agreed to and also for more years.
Either Albies absolutely loves ATL, doesn't have much faith in his future durability or production, or he is one of the few professional athletes that really isn't in for just the money. Or some combination there of.

Turned out to be perennial MVP candidate There is an article on ESPN right now about too many people writing him off after last year. Which I don't really get... Before his injury he was on pace for another fairly typical year for him.
