The guy we will miss is Morton If we resigned Morton, we don't get Miley. We may not have gotten Greinke. I'll take that two for one deal right now.
Also, if you are willing to accept not signing Morton as a mistake then what about not resigning Keuchel?
Imagine this team with Keuchel instead of Miley, and no Greinke. Looks even better now that we don't have that situation.

You just made my head explode, but I agree 100%

FYI: I took back my green status (Coaching Staff) because, with the forum now open to guests, I wanted to make it obvious that I was the moderator so that newbies knew why I was asking questions/making statements to them. No powers or responsibilities have changed, just markings.

No powers or responsibilities have changed, just markings. That makes sense and the stars look just fine but the light green of the name ( #50e619) is too pale and it clashes with your skin tones, Frogface. I suggest green ( #008000) or DarkGreen ( #006400) instead.

Wrong thread, Mr. Perpetual Motion Coin Collector Genius. Do we need a group hug? No, why? That was meant in good humor.

I read today that they're calling up Ted Tucker in a couple of days, too, with plans to use his nearly every day.

I read today that they're calling up Ted Tucker in a couple of days, too, with plans to use his nearly every day. So did we ever decide whether we can wait till September to call up Tucker and still have him available to use in the post season? Or does that start next year?

So the June 30 call ups will be significant vs the September 1 call ups.

If the Astros were looking to do that they woudn't bring him up at all. No way Tucker's value goes up after Septermber (it could only go down from where it is now). I think they know he deserves another shot this year and may see if they can move Reddick in place of him for 2020
What's funny is Springer and Marisnick are also FA's after 2020. If Houston doesn't resign Springer (which would be a travesty) I think they bring back Marisnick in place. However if they do resign Springer (YAY!) then Marisnick could be gone. Either way Tucker takes over for Reddick regardless.

I hope you are correct, but bringing him up to take Reddicks place will kill what little value Reddick may have.

Teams know what they are getting in Reddick regardless and it may be beneficial to have him play limited time in September if he does struggle instead of starting and falling on his face (Which I doubt would happen).
Houston can easily say, we wanted to get Tucker up here and have no room for Reddick anymore and other teams would buy that.

I read something from a Dodgers fan when we signed Reddick that basically alluded to the fact that Reddick disappeared every September. Maybe his problem is he runs out of gas and a little r and r might be just the ticket.

Tucker was called up just for a little experience. He's not going to play that much unless there is an injury.
