Well I really wanted him to hit .300 for a 6th straight year, but, considering he started the year off not at 100% and missed time with leg issues, it was a pretty good season:
31 HR 74 RBI 89 Runs 149 Hits 6 SB .298/.353/.550 .903 OPS (131 OPS+) 3.7 WAR
His defense and baserunning led to a lower WAR than normal (and the lower OBP), but a lot of that early on was due to the leg not being 100%. I think there will be marked improvement next year, and he did manage to get his OPS back over .900 like he did during his MVP season.

That would be an amazing season for any other player.

Normally, yes. But with the uptick in HRs and power across the league, it's not as impressive as it might have once been. Still, among AL 2B:
2nd in HRs 5th in RBI 5th in Runs 4th in AVG 1st in OPS 2nd in OPS+
I don't know how they figure out the SS (if they use games played at the position or not). DJ LeMahieu and Gleyber Torres would be the primary contenders for the SS but neither played more than 75 games at 2B. DJ is probably more deserving offensively, but he played more than half his games at the corner IF spots. Whereas Altuve actually played 121 of his 124 games at 2B. To me, that says that they're more versatile, but Altuve was the true 2B.

I can't believe Jose has only hit 1 freaking home run. What a waste.

Altuve is now the most career postseason HRs ever by a second baseman. Pretty impressive.
Also tied for most ever by an Astro with Springer.

The 'hit" he got last night was a tailor made DP ball that turned into a hit because the SS and 2B didn't know who should field it.......Torres was on the bag waiting for the flip from Didi, wno let the ball go through. That was not a legitimate hit.

Nah, it was a misplayed ball that had DP written all over it. I know you want to add to Altuve's hit total and I would, too. But that should have been a DP.

Overall, Bregman had a wore night than anyone else......got doubled off first base to kill one threat and grounded into a DP to kill another one.
