First runs Minor has given up prior to the 5th inning this year. Had 0.00 era in innings 1-3 and 5.79 era in innings 4-6 coming into today. He might have been better off to stay in the bullpen, rather than seeking a team that would promise a spot in the starting rotation.

Morton’s been sitting on the bench for awhile. Eight and 9 hitters to lead off.

That Falefa looked like a man on a mission yesterday. I guess it's Mission Accomplished.

Wonder if that kid got the ball back from his first HR. How many Hawaiians have there been in the MLB?

He might have been better off to stay in the bullpen, rather than seeking a team that would promise a spot in the starting rotation. That's the thing about the prospect of him coming to the Astros. He'd have to be happy with a long relief role. There's a lot to like about him as a reliever in my opinion.

That’s 10 K’s for Morton. Wonder if he goes another inning. Pitch count approaching 100.

With Correa's lineout, the Astros are 2 for 3 with RISP today. Correa hit the ball well enough; could easily have been 3 for 3.

These Rangers only know to score by means of the solo HR. Amazing.

I could see Hinch giving Giles an inning here as long as the lead is at least 3 runs.

Braves were leading the Cubs 10-2 but now Cubs up 11-10. It's raining and the field is slop

Charlie dialed it up this season to inning six. Can't forget last season when the fifth was the magic number.

Statcast measured Morton's highest FB velocity at 98.1 mph (11th pitch of the game). By the 6th inning, he was still hitting 96.4
