43-21 1st in the division (9 Games) 1st in the league (.5 Games) 2nd in MLB (.5 game back) 3rd in run differential (+95) .672 winning percentage (On pace for 109 Wins) Team OPS+: 119 Team ERA+: 123
Cole vs. Ynoa
Ugly, but really good win last night if you think about it. We used all of our top guns from the bullpen and exhausted everybody. If we had done all that and not come away with a W, that would have been deflating. Big kudos to Devo. He's been up and down this year but he really battled and managed to hold a lead that even our best guys couldn't. And White, Chirinos, Bregman, Fisher, and Straw all had big games too. In my lifetime, I've never seen an Astros catcher have this hot a streak offensively.
Hopefully Straw gets another start. He's just a dynamic player to watch.

Thank God for Shed Long. He arguably avoided an RBI walk and ended that horrible game.

Long had a bad at bat and went out of the zone and popped up....Devenski survived, Nobody out of our pen had a good game. Need a lot of innings from Cole tonight.

I see you do what you always do.....bitch about his hitting but never mention his outstanding defense.I notice that Kalas, Blum, HInch, and his teammates are smart enough to see it but you refuse to see it. Proves how little you know about his value to the team. Where Jake is concerned, all you do is talk shit

You hear it about Kemp, White, or even Altuve, but Jake can have a goose egg and all you hear is about some catch he made earlier.

It is probably because Jake is on the team for his defense and any hitting he does is icing on the cake. White and Kemp are mediocre defenders. Altuve is the biggest star on the team and when he isn't hitting. it makes news. Hopefullyk he will be back soon and hitting like his old self.

Keuchel gets $13 million for one season with Atlanta. Paid in full.
Astros had QO for Keuchel of $17.9 million. Keuchel loses $4.9 million.

No, it is proof that they do theirjobs and give credt where it is due and proves you are wrong. Tbe most "asinine shit" you do is continuing to bitch because a potential Gold glove outfielder is in the lineup because of his glove. At least Straw is in CF and tbe little hugger boy who is at second base due to Altuve and Diaz being out
