Peacock has been doing well in the rotation. The only way I would think that he belongs in the bullpen is if we get someone really good for the rotation. McHugh on the other hand, who knows. Remember he have him under control for another year after this one.

I believe Beer will be involved if we make a splash. His lack of defensive skills will hurt his chances of being on any Astros team. Beer was involved the last time I made a splash, too.

Learned today Astros are looking for a 1B/DH type player. Where in on EE. Heard they Could be Looking at Anthony Rendon. To possibly play 1B?
Yuli and White might be on the Outs pretty soon. Read that the Astros are getting Tiresome with the hole 1B situation going on as we speak. They where hoping Alveraz could play 1B but what it looks like at the moment he will DH and Play COF.
Man this time of year is fun to watch. Also two Astros scout will be in attendence for the Nationals June 21st 22nd and 23rd VS Atlanta.

think about what you would have to give up to get someone like Rendon.

He is a FA next year just like Harper was and apparently J.b.bukouskas, Stubbs and another not so great player was the package that was accepted but owner ship dipped out.
So Beer, J.b.bukouskas and Fisher could get that done i would believe

Adding a SP and a RP should be far and away the biggest priorities right now. I like Peacock back in long inning relief come post season time.

White is pre-arb so even if he's out of options and goes DFA and someone claims him, the Astros won't be paying the freight. And I could see that happening just to keep Yordan on the roster when everyone is healthy and returns.
I really don't see Luhnow paying Yuli's salary (for the rest of this year and $9 million in 2020) so he can play for another team. Of course VooDoo will have some magic trade cued up with another team who's desperate to have him.

And ironically he sends Yuli off to non-contending teams that typically would want younger, cheaper, long team controlled players.

Still saying we are looking at a SP and 2 RP. They had a really good article on Tony Watson from the Giants today on Twitter. Either go get two Relivers or two SPs and move Peacock back to the pen. I am for both McHugh and Peacock in the pen. *****

If they have definitely decided that LF is the place for Yordan, why not work Brantley at first base? Wh9te is gone......take it to the bank.
I also agree with those who say we need a SP and at least one reliever. Don't deal for a bat unless it's something we can't pass up.
We have one useless player in White who has to go and some who are blocked by better players.............Move Fisher, Kemp, Mayfield, and Yuli if possible.

The best place for Yuli is with his brother in Toronto.
Not many other teams would like him on there roster.
Sure they are none contending. But Yuli VS Smoak? And the Fact they have his brother it could be a great way for marketing for that team.

White is gone....Yuli, I think holds on. If this were 2020, I think Yuli would be gone. I have more confidence in Yuli this year over White, Kemp, Marisnick and Mayfield... actually over Straw as well, but I want to keep Straw... So I am hoping Yuli, Straw, Stubbs, Diaz are the Astros bench players for the post season. And Alvarez and Tucker are both starting.

This is why I think trying to trade to incorperate him into a trade to get Marcus Stroman and relieve some of his salary off onto them would be ideal.
Ripe the band aide off asap instead of prolonging it.
Brantley at 1B wouldnt be bad either. But if we where in on EE you can truely see they want a everyday 1B. Not a rotational guy. Jose Abreu comes to mind and it also explains why there are scouts looking at Rendon

As a marketing stand point it is. Both brothers on the same team. The Blue Jays are very much about marketing. With Yuli they have that. They want no trouble guys just guys with good character. Yuli to the Jays is a match made in HEAVEN. No contending team has a hole at 1B or 3B. He doesnt have enough power for DH

Lol, what does or has the owners of the Blue Jays do other then own the Blue Jays? Its Rogers Communication's. Ross Atkins is a pure Marketer GM who was with the Indians for 15 yrs till he acceptwd the Job with the Blue Jays in DEC of 2015. ROGERS Communication's is huge in Canada. They want to Market everything. Anyway to make money if its something small or big they jump at opportunitys. Needless to say they arent dumb. But to have both Gurriels on the team they could bring some media attention to there club and sale some much needed merch. So yea they can make money ofd that kinda deal and maybe tey and dump a Smoak back to lesson the Financials of him comming back. Also you could try and package a bigger deal and aim for Stroman. Its really what ever you can try and get or be happy with.

How often do you guys say to yourself "Man, I'd watch that Toronto team if they had a pair of brothers playing for them!"? I know I say it at LEAST every half hour.

I'm sure Toronto Mgt., with how VD notes their vast marketing background, are saying: let's take on this nine million-dollar salary so we can get 50 bucks more of merchandise sold
