First late game of the season.
Keuchel vs. Paxton
Seattle brings currently a better offense (thanks to great starts by Cano and Haniger) but poor pitching. Astros bats look to break out (and stay out).
Like other recent games, we have a number of good players due for a big game. Altuve, Gattis, and Correa's power is due to show!

Lots of rain in the forecast for the Seattle area through the night. Hope this one doesn't get rained out.

We have a history of not hitting Paxton. If our offense stays the same, Keuchel will have to pitch a shutout for us to win.

A rainout tonight might be best for the team. Would give them a full day to rest and reflect on things before hitting the field again.

We have our #5 pitcher going tonight *fingers crossed* I’d rate him #4 in the current rotation right now.., just ahead of that twitching, hyperventilating guy.

Let's go!
Paxton is one tough cookie but the Astros did manage to get two victories out of the four games he started against the team in 2017. He managed to not surrender a HR to last year's team over 21.1 innings of work. So I'd say he's due to surrender 2 or 3 bombs tonight.

Mike Zunino, Ryon Healy, and Ben Gamel are all out with injuries for Seattle today whereas the Astros are only missing Tony Sipp. So this is one factor in the Astros' favor tonight.

While I am bored with the Astros, I can honestly say I am not worried about them. At the end of the season, they'll be 10+ games ahead in 1st place, and playoff bound. Altuve, Springer, Correa and Reddick will all perform well as a whole.

And unfortunately, Jake Marisnick will still be committing outright theft by drawing an MLB salary.

I also would like to get another look at Davis to see what to do with Gattis at the trade deadline Tucker, Davis, and White all deserve time with the big league club prior to August 1 so that Hinch can make the best-informed decision about who to include on the postseason rosters. I'm afraid Gattis would earn little or nothing in trade at this point, but at least cutting him loose would free up a roster spot.

It's still to early to start thinking about stress of them not hitting the way they did last year.

If Marisnick is gonna take starts away from Fisher then it made no sense to option JDI agree with you. Why keep a struggling Fisher on the ML roster to ride the pine? Seems like it would make more since to send him down to AAA and let him get some playing time. It’s not like he would be taking playing time away from a top prospect. Tucker and Ferguson are both Top 30 prospects who are playing every day as they should. The other two OFers on the Fresno roster are Kemmer (soon to be 28 years old and still striking out about 1/3 of his at-bats) and Alejandro Garcia (soon to be 27 years old). Neither of those guys is a top prospect.

I was seeing who was starting and see The Astros are already on the board. Time to tune into the radio. See you after the game or before if I get board.
