It will take at least what Verlander is going to make. I think that amount gets it done and I don't think Crane pays him more than Verlander and he shouldn't. |

I really think if the Astros re-sign Cole they become a dynasty....all would be left is to re-sign Springer.....Astros would be set was the the right veterans (Verlander, Greinke, Altuve, Bregman); young players (Alvarez, Tucker), athletic players (Straw and Stubbs); core bullpen arms (Osuna and Pressly); promising prospects (Whitley, Javier, Bielak)....and then mix-in a couple could-be nice surprises (McCullers, Urquidy, James).... Couple all that with Luhnow, AJ and Stromfather, then you have a great recipe for long-term success. |

You can be too much Debbie sometimes....I know there is realism in your feeling about Astros re-signing core players, but there is an awful amount of pesism- beyond skepticism. |
