something..... A slump, a hot pitcher, bad bounces, and even bad ump calls ('86 and Brocklander). We can probably add Joe West 2018 to this list

It just doesn't feel right to see Keuchel in a Braves uniform.

Hard to believe that SL didn't have a better option as a starting pitcher. This guy did decent in September but still is 9-14 W/L on the year with an ERA over 4.
No matter how you see it he is a bad luck pitcher. Not good to lead off a series.

Rooting for or against Keuchel?

I can't help but root for him a little. He was a bright spot on a bad team in 2014, and then he got us through the WC game in 2015. Like it or not, he was the beginning of what our rotation has become, and he gave us some really good years.

I can't root for the Cards and seeing McCann get that double just now was fun to watch.
I think the Braves have the best shot against the Dodgers as well.

I forgot about McCann. He's always been a favorite of mine too. And I agree, the Braves will put up the best fight against LA.

Rooting for or against Keuchel? I’m rooting for Keuchel. I agree with everything Todd said.

Rooting for or against Keuchel? Against. Refusing the QO a while back was a poke in our eyes.

I bet you are wearing your Keuchel’s Corner T-shirt and fake beard.

They took Keuchel out with 2 outs and the scored tied at 1 in the 5th inning?

Go back as far as 1980, of course that wasn't an offensive team, and had to scrap for runs. Then in 98 in my mind there was no way the Stros could not win the WS, that was up to that time one of the best offensive teams. I don't have to tell you about the Stros track record against no-name pitchers. I just hope everything clicks for the next 11 wins. Easily the most underwhelming performance in franchise history. Biggio and Bagwell for whatever reason couldn’t hack it in the postseason unlike Caminiti, Berkman, and even Ausmus. During the Bag's and Big's run in the playoffs where the Braves were their Daddy, the knock on the Stros lineup was that they were too right handed hitting dominated, by a right handed Brave staff.

He gave us good years for very good value, and Was good in the postseason for us. What's not to like?

They took Keuchel out with 2 outs and the scored tied at 1 in the 5th inning? Yeah that seemed a little quick to me. Especially with the run scoring on no balls leaving the infield.

Are the Astros taking notes on how to advance the runner?

I think that is one knock on the Astros lineup is that everyone feels like they can drive in runs. We don't have a specialist that can bunt or simply put the ball in play when needed.

Hmmmm, what would happen if a player was able to catch a foul ball through the netting. Would that be an out if the ball was on the other side?

Straw and Altuve can. They don't seem to want them to. I wouldn't call either one a specialist as Straw doesn't play that often and Altuve would rather swing for the fences with runners on. Knowing how to and doing it are two different things.
Yadi gave himself up to move the runner over to 3rd with only 1 out. I would like to see players like Altuve or Reddick take that approach sometimes.

So Wong has now been part of both scoring opportunities for the Braves.
