EXACTLY...and that is the problem. Whining to get the mascots of the Cleveland Indians, Atlanta Braves, Washington Redskins, Florida State Seminoles,etc. because they are "racist" is pathetic. Politically correctness is turning our young people inte a generation of entitled wimps. These nut jobs think small children should decide what gender they want to be. etc. It has gotten to the point that if you disagree with anybody you are either a racist, bully, homophobe, sexist, xenophobe, etc. It's all pathetic. Frankly, I laugh whenever I hear these whining babies cry about everything. I want them to all scream when Trump is re-elected over whichever brain-dead imbecile the democrats pick to run against him. Lots of high schools in Texas still have "Indians" as their mascot. Shiner High School are the Comanches. Just because you don't like the younger generation doesn't mean you need to nuke the entire world by wanting Trump re-elected  Now Isn't that precious. |

No democrat running for president has enough sense to pour piss out of a boot. Trump came in and exposed Obama for the piece of shit he is and they can't stand it. Trump will be re-elected with relative ease. I didn't know a person could be re-elected after getting impeached Civics 101. Impeachment doesn't remove a president. Conviction in the Senate by a 2/3rds margin is required and that has NEVER happened and won't this time if the DemonCrats are stupid enough to continue pursuing that inappropriate route. This should be an election issue, not an impeachment issue. |

Let's move this discussion on to the Off-Topic area, if people don't mind. Politics are depressing enough without seeing it in the postseason thread. This is a good idea. Also, tread VERY carefully to ensure you all stay within the rules. Some of you don't have enough leeway remaining here to safely navigate a contentious politics discussion. I agree with you. I mostly agree, but I also remember when the NFL started ruining football by making the ICKY Shuffle and spiking the ball in the end zone illegal. I'd rather not compare the two sports. Football is more like a war. Baseball was meant to be a more elegant and honorable game. I had to laugh at that while recalling old school tactics. |

Also, I by no means am stating Bagwell was a user, but if he was he was fortunate that his shoulder injury stopped him from hitting milestones. He stayed under the radar while guys like Palmeiro, Sosa, McGwire, Bonds, Clemens and such were getting sacked. My guess is that he probably was, along with 85% of the players. One name I have never heard mentioned in any “did he use PEDS” discussion is Luis Gonzalez. Here is this skinny guy..,, who never hit more than 10-15 home runs a year for Houston...who out of the blue hits 57 home runs for Arizona one year. Seems a bit suspicious to me. |
