Seeing Braun go home makes me a happy camper. Even though I picked Milwaukee to win, I am very glad they didn't. Me too. I can't stand that guy.

If we lose another bench coach after this season, would you like to see Ausmus back here? Ausmus would be OK, but, I had rather have Carlos Beltran.

Keuchel named as the Game 1 starter for ATL. That could be interesting to watch. He had an overall solid season, but he trailed off at the end. His hopes of again trying for a big payday this offseason will ride a lot on his postseason performance. Looking at all his non-volume statistics, his performance this year is near identical to last year. And that was a performance that almost all of us thought was indicitive of an "off-year" This confirms my thoughts that Kuechel is in decline, and Luhnow was smart for not re-signing. If the Braves are putting their eggs into that bearded basket, then they aren't quite as robust as i thought. It was a similar but better year. Better ERA+, better K rate, a little better hit rate. But he was also more wild which culminated in more baserunners than last year, and he didn't limit the HRs as well as he had the previous two years. Most starting pitchers coming off three seasons of a 141, 111, 121 ERA+ would be looking at some really nice contract offers, but with Keuchel it's hard to tell how much of that will continue since he is so reliant on the defense pitching to contact. It will come down to how much he still thinks he is worth. I could see a team giving him a 2-3 year deal worth $30-45 million. But will he be okay with that now or keep trying to hold his ground and say he is worth more? We'll see. What he has in his favor is that he's not a guy reliant on velocity, so, in theory, he probably wouldn't decline as quickly as some others (Felix Hernandez) on the wrong side of 30.

I've decided I'm rooting for the Rays. With our offense sometimes going cold, I'd rather we face an offense that will be easier for our pitching to hold down. The HR potential from that Oakland lineup is worrisome if recent match-ups hold true.

Facing the Nats in the World Series adds an interesting dynamic. Verlander and Scherzer are former teammates, and Greinke and Corbin are former teammates

Butterflies for the Rays and A's. I remember '15 having to go through this WC -winner take all garbage.
COB office...shorten the season a few games, and allow the WC to be best of 3.

Verlander and Scherzer are former teammates, and Greinke and Corbin are former teammates Correa will drive in the winning run by calling his shot to left field and then dropping down a bunt to Rendon. Myles Straw, pinch running for Brantley, will score from second base when the subsequent throws to Zimmerman and to Gomes are late. Correa will pull up lame with a torn hamstring. During the awarding of the Commissioner’s Trophy to the World Series MVP Alex Bregman, Correa will interrupt by holding an impromptu wedding with Daniella, officiated by Corch Hatchet. Complimentary coffee and donuts are also handed out to fans in attendance as a means to purchase their affection. “Hearts on Fire” will be played to signify the conclusion of the ceremonies.

Can we throw $30 beers in the air like Nats fans? I would spray vintage Bollinger champagne in the air for a championship.

Note to any A's fans who might be lurking here before game time.......
Not trying to scare you , but if there is one pitcher who you may not want to face in an elimination game? That guy would be Charlie Morton.
CFM has ice water flowing through his veins. Presure does not phase him Look at his WS Game7 performance as evidence.

Charlie can't get the feel of the breaking pitch, this rate may not make five being generous.
