This game is hard to watch. I really blame Hinch and Luhnow for panicking and stating Verlander.

Trying to see the positives:
Cole will go game #5 - we win
Greinke game #1 vs Yanks (would be good for him to pitch at home)
Verlander (normal rest) game #2- hopefully no carry over with this game

Cole game #3 in NY (may be good to have him in NY)
Urquidy game #4 in NY
Greinke game #5 in NY (guaranteed loss)

Verlander Game #6 at home
Cole Game #7 at home
If we are down 2-3 going back home then having Verlander and Cole to finish off the series is not bad at all.
Rinse and repeat for the World Series

The other sad thing is that they Didn't support Verlander with a lot of runs during the season what made Hinch think todays gave would be any different.

Grantley is totally useless. He’s 6 for 39...in his career... a .154 average, in the post season. No homers and 1 RBI. He is a no show. |

It was a losing bet situation and they allowed the Rays to feel like they have a chance because of the over reaction to one win. But we still have a shot |
