About time Smith is gone. The new guy seems to be doing a fairly good job so far. I like the way he has shored up the secondary without spending a lot of money. Still concerned about the offensive line, tight end, and the backup qb spot. Lots of time left though and all things considered a pretty deep draft to upgrade a few more slots with.

Despite OS signings, OL still should remain top focus in the draft...have to protect Watson......is there a really good TE worth drafting....I am surprised with the Texans cap money they didn't go all out for Jimmy Graham...

They still have a lot of money left and do not really seem like they plan on using it. Not nearly like last year though so that is good
The OT position in the draft just does not seem that strong. There are a couple of tight ends available that interest me. Schultz, Goedert and Conklin are all kind of 4-6 round guys. There are a couple of OTs that are projects but have all the physical attributes to play in the nfl.

I know it might be too soon to say this, but the new GM seems different from Rick Smith in how he doesn’t appear to be retarded.

From time to time it does appear to be a prerequisite for consideration for the position.

Brandon Weeden is coming back as back up QB. Oh boy! There is a better option available, but he won't even get a look.

Weeden should fare better than Savage but if Watson goes down, so do the Texans. There just is not enough talent on that offensive line for anyone other than Houdini or Watson to be successful.

What is funny is that you think Savage belongs on a football field. Weeden is marginally serviceable, not much left now except him.

I will agree that Weeden playing will not result in much better results than they had last year. It is possible they could of traded for a back up but it would of been a waste of money/picks. If Houston makes the playoffs this year it is with Watson running the show. Anyone else and they are playing for a high draft slot.

They have money to spend... Can't afford to make a trade... No 1st or 2nd round pick...

The Texans should sign Eric Reid to play strong safety... He is being black balled too... So, it wont happen...

Just because they have money does not mean you should spend it. However you should spend it if you think it will make your team more marketable. My guess is that by saying Reed is being black balled you mean to say that the Texans should sign Kaepernick. That would be a mistake of biblical proportions. Kaepernick if an idiot. He is a pampered little twit that was so divisive that the team that knew him best would rather have Weeden like qbs than have him back. No, sign Weeden and keep the seats full.

Signing Kaepernick and Reid won't lose fans... Would help win ball games...

Seems to me that one fan already said she would give up her tickets if they signed him. I know some more that would join in that.
Kaepernick and the rest of his ilk do not get to take a knee during the anthem and then stand and say it has nothing to do with the anthem without me and a bunch more folks calling bs. So he can say and he can do whatever his little heart desires, he just needs to understand and everyone else has the same right. That goes for business owners too. They are smart enough to know a cancer when they see it.

There is a waiting list for tickets. Fans that leave will be replaced. Tickets will be sold. It won't be enough fans to make a difference...
Kaepernick and the rest made a mistake. They should have been very clear from the beginning. It would have made things better for the whole situation...

They chose the anthem because they knew it would start the conversation. It really did!
The problem is that they underestimated the push back from the other side. Maybe they didn't even consider it...
I am still waiting for the real conversation to happen. There are things happening, but more locally than nationally...

Do you feel the same way about the Steelers? The whole team stayed in the locker room during the anthem... One guy stood in the tunnel...

I spend my hard earned money to support them. The last thing I want is someone who I wouldn’t even give the time of day to play on my home team. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I guess it just doesn't matter to me. As long as they aren't violent criminals...

Some people stand for something. Make them mad and you lose them forever. Lose enough of them and you lose everything. If you have a billion dollars in the pot you really do not want to put your money down on someone stupid enough to go pissing on someone shoes and then try to tell them it's raining.
