The rumor is based off a Twitter possible flub and some talks around the Meetings. The Twitter flub is or might not be photoshppped The only way the Tigers get Correa is if the back load it to get past Miggys ginormous contract. But at this rate it's Is very much in Question |

No. Before the addition of Eduardo Rodriguez (roughly $16MM AAV) the Tigers 2022 payroll was at a mere $76MM and that includes Miggy's ginormous contract. So now we're talking roughly $92MM. They don't need to backload anything to fit Correa's salary and still be able afford to spend elsewhere in the FA market too. The real question is, would they choose to be on the hook for a very long term contract. I hope they aren't. |

Syndergaard in an Angels uniform is bad news. If healthy the lineup there is very legit, but they've just never had the pitching to challenge us.
Surprised they'd give up a pick just for a one year deal though. But the Angels doing dumb things is nothing new I guess.
