We sure need him to get it together... I wonder if his velocity was still way down today... I don’t recall hearing the broadcast team say anything about his velocity today. How’s Pressly’s velocity? I know they mentioned him having low velo too.

At least Pressly has the pedigree to instill more confidence.

I do worry about our bullpen a little. There are some good arms in the mix; Pressly, Neris, Stanek, Maton. They are all prone to give up the long ball. I hope our starters go deep and our offense can consistently score 5+ runs each game.

But, it's the easiest area to upgrade during the year with trades.

You’ve replaced Correa with Peña while still needing to address CF.

So, is Goodrum an improvement over Robel?

So, is Goodrum an improvement over Robel? Amazingly pathetic if he is not, the bar can only be set so low.

So, is Goodrum an improvement over Robel? Niko occasionally showed some signs of life while he was in Detroit. I'm not inclined to go out on a limb and say he'll be good. But he probably won't suck.

What I don’t like is the offense. You’ve replaced Correa with Peña while still needing to address CF. With Correa's health concerns, it's very possible that Pena ends up more productive than Correa. I do have concerns about our OF depth though.

Then again the Astros aren't paying much. 2MM isn't gonna buy you more than an adequate defensive utility man.

I just saw that. Seems a bit pricey but it does lock up a good closer for a couple more years. We need to get some more good arms around him somehow.

Taylor Rogers and Seth Lugo are both FAs after this season. I would gladly welcome them to be apart of the Astros 2023 bullpen.
Hypothetical badass Astros 2023 bullpen.
Pressly Rogers Maton Stanek Lugo Neris Javier (rotation or long relief?)
I wonder which of the Astros younger relievers are going to really make an impact this year?
