Would you want him to stay in college or go for it? If go for it, what would be your top 5 wish list for teams to draft him? Hard question. I would love to see him make it to the show, he leans towards his education. He is at the top when it comes to academics. I remember I went to a summer academy as a kid back in the late 80's. Biggio came out one afternoon as a guest speaker and he told us even then how important it was to get the education if it came down to it. My only thought was/is, if you think you're going to be a decently high draft pick, take the money and follow your dream. Save some of that money in case you don't make it and your college is still at least mostly paid for (if not all). |

Even better then. Follow your dream while you can, in my opinion. Even if you don't make it, you can have a lot of fun and you've got a cool story to tell the grandkids. |

He always says he could have done better. If he ever makes it to the show, I hope Strom is his pitching coach. |

Here is a thought a Pitcher not necessary the top 5 and you are pitching to Judge and his next HR breaks Maris's Record do you kind of not intentionally but intentionally throw him an HR ball? As of now, your name will be mentioned in MLB History forever.
I see that he has been getting a lot of Walks lately, I am thinking that pitcher didn't want to be the one giving up the next HR record.

In September at AAA Meyers posted a 1.025 OPS after having posted a .764 OPS in June and a .616 OPS in July before being called up by the Astros. I hope this is an indication that his hitting stroke is back.

Remind me what is the Major League Taxi Squad? The best I can tell the taxi squad in MLB was created in 2020 as a result of the covid pandemic. Each team was permitted to carry 3 non-roster players (the taxi squad) on road trips. The purpose of the taxi squad was to provide readily available replacement players should some player(s) on the roster come down with covid. This was done so that when a team had a player contract covid they didn’t have to require a minor leaguer to drop everything at a moment’s notice and get on a commercial flight and travel across country to catch up with the team. The team simply activated a player from the taxi squad which was already with the team. |
