Yes. Have you looked at a comparison of Chas’ numbers with those of Reynolds this season? I sure as heck wouldn’t give up that package for Reynolds. Reynolds in reality is a much better baseball player. He has been injured a bit this season and the lineup he hits in absolutely sucks. August 2nd is approaching, my dream trades are as followed now Bryan Reynolds - Urquidy (really should be Garcia to make this trade believable) + Chas or Meyers + Solomon Josh Bell and Ruiz - Lee, Whitley, Leon, Perez, Whitaker, E Valdez Chafin - Bielak, Dubin, Julks.... Verlander signs a 3 year/$105M extension 2022-2023 Off-season - land a 1B in FA, re-sign Brantley, LF, to a decent 1 year deal with 2nd year club option, Yuli re-signed to a bench player, to a 1 year deal with 2nd year club option.. I guess Maldonado to be 30% of the time catcher. A left handed reliever. Astros win both the 2022 and 2023 WS.

A little over 2 days til the trade deadline. Who do you all think we get?
Contreras? Bell? Mullins? Reynolds? Mancini? Soto 🙂? None of the above?

It always seems to me that the Astros always wait till the last minute and miss out on the better players. They really need to upgrade 1st base and Left Field in my thinking. Then again I am not on top of it every day like a couple of you guys. Do they really need another Relief pitcher or can they not fill that role from their Minor club? Seems to me the Astros always create really good pitching as it is being on display again this season. Their offense always is a couple of steps behind.

I just want a stick that can be in the lineup everyday and either a good backup catcher or utility player with a good stick.

Keep an eye on Happ OF Cubs.
Plays well in LF can play CF but isn't the fastest runner out there. Makes great contact and has some power. Could be a long term LF for the Astros and cheaper in the long run.

I am hoping we can get Bell or Contreras (both would be awesome) without dealing away Hunter Brown, Pedro Leon or Yanier Diaz.

Luis Garcia, Chas McCormick and Solomon For Brian Reynolds Is this a fair trade for both teams? And would you be for it? Before this happens, the Astros extend Verlander to a 3 year/$105M deal Would you still approve all the above for happening? Chas is not excellent, but he's better than people seem to think. Already Garcia for Reynolds straight up would be fair, and frankly I'm not sure Reynolds is as good as people think; in what should be his best season (age 27-28 being the prime years) his numbers are all down from last year. Come to think of it, with an extra year of control, Garcia alone might be too much.

I hate the Giants have made Rodon available. That lowers the value of Urquidy or whichever pitcher we were aiming to trade.

Rodon is a high-end pitcher but a rental. Urquidy is solid, younger, doesn't have the injury history, and has control. Possibly two different markets.

Reminds me of when Luhnow first arrived and actually managed to get multiple prospects back for the husk of Carlos Lee.
