Hope everyone won't mind me creating a "venting" and "observation" thread that will be similar to what I was adding to Thomas' WS GDT.  90% of these will not be baseball related, so be forewarned in advance.

I think a lot like Ron White, and seem to get sucked up into a lot situations that really seem to peg the WTF meter.  Or hell, it might just be that I  notice stupid random sh__ that seems to not make sense at all.

Like Wednesday and Thursday....

Starting the story, i innocently bought a $19 pair of headphones from Walmart.  After opening them at home, I found that the device in two pieces.  The headphones and half a cord, and the the jack with half a cord.  Why the sh__ does this  always happen to me!!!!!

So Thursday I make a special trip to exchange the thing, the Returns  Clerk looked at me wryly and asked.....   "Why did you take some scissors and cut this cord"?   Wha.........?   I told the lady, that my bulldog  couldn't make a more ragged cut on that cord, and Why T F would I go to so much trouble after a one day return of a $19 cheap ass pair of headphones.

So she calls back to electronics, and instructs me to go to Register 12 to checkout with my 3 other planned items.

Well to make the story short.....

10 minutes at customer service
5 minutes shopping
5 minutes waiting to get checked out at Register 12
2 minutes checking out
10 minutes as clerk fumbles trying to get security device off a $19 pair of headphones

And she had the ___  to thank me for shopping at Walmart.

Why on earth would you buy such a cheap ass pair of headphones? I got mine when I got my newest Hopper from Dish for $99.00.
They are WiFi and Blue Ray with a recharable battery. They are well worth the money. I also got the remote control that you can talk to.
It was cheaper than dirt and so much fun. I can tell it I want Clint Eastwood movies and it will slow me all on the screen and tell me which ones are on yet. You can even play with it by saying a famous quote from a movie and it will find it if it's playing. I'm such a DISH Geek.

As much as I love music, I kind  of view it as a rule of diminishing returns.   Does a $199 pair head of Bose head phones sound better than my mine?  Dam right.  But 10X better?

Update to the Doggie Greenie addiction issue:

Soaked a Greenie in a bottle of Coke for 2 days. Appears to be minimal degradation. How do dogs digest these things?

Also helpful hint..... Bulldog jaws are a significant pinch point when in line of fire of a pig ear.

That is why you don't give Greenies or Rawhide Chews to dogs as they really can't digest them.

You'd be surprised how many Vets recommend Greenies for Doggie dental health..... Just sayin'.

I give my two Dogs Chloe & Madison Knee Bones or Raw Lamb or Beef bones almost every day and My dog's teeth have no tartar build up.  Problem is at night they bring the dang bone into the bedroom at night and start chewing and it sounds like a Saw grinding through bone.
Plus they get a 50% raw diet.  Was a 100% but they wanted more variety.

About 10 or so years ago I guess, I made an investment to buy quite a collection of "Forever". stamps, thinking I would beat the inevitable inflation of postal increases.

Well, I noticed today some of the books are losing their "self-adheviness". Back to Wally World again tomorrow for a bottle of glue.

Anyone else getting excited about Opening Day? Has anyone attended opening day?, rememberances?

I think the my last one was about 1984. Remember the banners and introductions. Also remember that it wasn't well attended either. Or course that was a lean time in our history. 1986 was on the horizon though.

And I do remember , it was my 3rd date with gf, and future wife.

As a followup to Musing topic a little while back, I cut the cord to my cable company after 43 years of seeing service turn into a spiraling behmoth of a hyper-inflation case study. (Add the fact they were going to force me to rent and place a damned box on every stinking TV).

Now the rant... Remember back when we were sold the goods on how great digital TV was supposed to be? Tell you what...... I'll trade a little snow or fuzz for the $#%#%. pixilating , gapping sh__ on air broadcast any day.

Unwelcome hiatus.......

I think I am getting some arthritis in my wrist and pinkies, and it has been a tough go lately to do much on the keyboard. 3 Alleve at this point seems to help some. So if I am gone for some time.........

Outside the Glocosimine/Chondroiton does anyone have any handy remedies? I don't feel like bugging the MD over this,

My 90-year-old mother swears by Turmeric, which is apparently some sort of OTC quasi-herbal remedy.  Of course, I can't officially recommend it to you, but you can try it and see if it helps.

My PCP suggested turmeric to me for arthritic hip pain and pain from a herniated lumbar disc. I bought some pills, but haven't taken them.

I only think of Tom Petty because a former poster sort of led people to believe he might be Tom Petty. It was all in good fun, but had the board in a furry/frenzy.

ALso should try CBD oil it works for that kind of pain. NO THC to get you high.

I have been taken Tumeric for quite a while it does help with inflammation.  After doing some research I have found this brand to be TOP of the list CuraMed.  It is the way the formula is made.

Also for Pain Relief the same brand above has a Formula that is called Curamin (Extra Strength).  When you have been working really hard and having some Joint Pain or Muscle Pain from a workout or just some heavy work lifting.  

It recommends dosage is Three Per Day all at once or three times a day.  When I had a rough day at work I come home and take three and found it works better than me taking  3/4 Advil.
By the way, Advil had some really bad side effects for MEN who take it daily. The study was done on Football players and they found those on short to long-term usage have Men problems. (a nice way of saying it.

Biofreeze. A side benefit is that it clears the sinuses too. Works for Arthritis and Fibro-mialga.

That's not exactly what happened. The board didn't go into a frenzy until he spammed bible passages everywhere cause he was afraid he'd born false witness as a result of carrying on the joke for several years and letting Rita repeatedly goad him into doing so
I think most of us knew he either was celebrity of some sort, or batshit crazy. I was just tired of the charade and wanted to find out one way or the other
